1997 N.L. DIVISION SERIES #2
Winnipeg Goldeyes @ Sugar Land Skeeters |
|---|
Preview – Tw o very equal teams. Both had similar hitting, Winnipeg had better starting but Sugarland had a killer pen. This series should have gone 7 games. |
1997 – AMERICAN LEAGUE WILD CARD ROUND
Harper Woods Expos @ Chicago Demolition |
|---|
Preview – Two division rivals that battled all year are now doing battle in the American League Wild Card Round. The Harper Woods Expos finished in 3rd place in the American League Central, 5 games behind the Chicago Demolition who fell 1 game short of the Detroit Crime. Chicago gets to host the Expos whom they went 14-8 against in the regular season. Both teams have aces going in games 1 & 2, but it’s game 3 that could (If Necessary) become a problem with starters. The winner of this series will face the daunting task of taking on the mighty-mighty Quakes of California in the Division Series. |
1997 – NATIONAL LEAGUE WILD CARD ROUND
Long Beach Titans @ Manhattan Gas Hornets |
|---|
P review – National League Wild Card Series sees Long Beach travel cross country to Manhattan to take on the Gas Hornets. And Long Beach is one of only two teams with a winning record against the Gas Hornets this season. However, most of those wins came in an early-season series dominated by the Titans – who afterward remarked, if you traded for some pitching, you could be a big-time contender – so we did! Now we face those same Titans in a short best of three series….. |
