Baltimore Blue Crabs @ Hampton Huskies

Series Preview: Hampton heads into its final regular season homestand with six games including a double-header against division bottom dwellers Baltimore hoping to solidify a post-season bid.
Game #1: All goes to plan with Hampton winning 6-3.
Game #2: Time to relax as Hampton cranks out a billion hits and takes it easily 11-2.
Game #3: Tim Worrell makes the Huskies’ hitters look like little stinkin’ babies holding them to one hit and one walk in a 5-0 shutout for Baltimore.
Game #4: What happened to the cakewalk we expected? Hampton enjoys being in lala land as the Blue Crabs even the series with a 8-4 win.
Game #5: Off in the distance the Huskies hear the sound of a toilet flushing as their season begins its journey into the shitter as Baltimore takes it 10-5.
Game #6: The Blue Crabs complete giving the Huskies a swirly by triumphing again easily 9-3 to complete the doubleheader sweep.
Series Summary: Baltimore takes 4 of 6 and Hampton goes the way of the dodo for the 1998 season. Oh well there is always hockey … I hate hockey.

Game #2: Chicago ties it in the bottom of the 9th at 2-Runs apiece. A costly error for Chicago & a 2-Run Double in the 11th wins it for the Expos.

Loss: Scott Radinsky 6-4 (2.95)

Game #3: Pete Harnisch pitches a gem for 8 Innings allowing only 1 Run. Chicago holds a 3-0 lead into the 9th. Billy Wagner scuffles closing it out, allowing 2 Earned Runs, but holds on for the Save.

Final Score: Chicago 3 – Harper Woods 2

Game #4: 2 RBI’s from Rich Amaral & Larry Walker are enough for the Expos to get by the Demolition.

Game #5: Todd Stottlemyre is pounded hard & doesn’t even make it out of the 2nd Inning before allowing 7 Earned Runs. Larry Walker Homers & has 3 RBI’s, & Ron Coomer matches him with the same. Barry Larkin chips in with a solo shot. It was all Expos in this one.

Game #6: A back & forth affair with the big man Tony Clark having a Home Run & 4 RBI’s. But it was Harper Woods chipping away & getting 2 RBI’s from Todd Helton, Barry Larkin & Greg Colbrunn & the Expos sneak away with a 1-Run win in the top of the 9th Inning.

Final Score: Harper Woods 10 – Chicago 9

Series Summary: The Demolition will be checking out Tee-Times early in the playoffs if they play like this. Not a good series for Chicago. Harper Woods, however, is looking sharp & might be a sharp team if they can keep winning at the end of the regular season & grab a Wild Card spot.
