Michigan Marauders @ Winnipeg Goldeyes
Preview	Winnipeg is trying to stay in the hunt for the playoffs with strong pitching and ok hitting, while Michigan has an amazing players Ripken and Palmeiro they lack pitching to contend.
Game #1:	The Shaker Lloyd Moseby just hammers Winnipeg with two homers as Benes did not bring his a game to this one. Hoiles was even better two homers going 4 for 5. Michigan 11 Winnipeg 0 W-Deshaises 1-0, L-Benes(3-2) On a side note Loften started his career getting a hit in his first at bat
Game #2:	Candiotti(4-0) has his knuckle ball for Winnipeg winning 3-0 as Buhner homered. W-Candiotti(4-0) L-Gullikson(2-3) S-Willis(2)
Game #3:	Nokes and Palmeiro each homered of the Winnipeg ace but he got 7 runs of support as Buhner and George Bell homers to give Nagy his first loss of the year. Wpg 7 Mic 5 W-Glavine(5-1) L-Nagy(3-1) S-Freeman(5)
Game #4:	King did not have it as Winnipeg got 8 hits off him in less than 2 innings. Stottlemeyer went 6 shutout innings and Danny jackson got 3 innings of work in for the save. W-Stottlemyer(2-2) L-King(2-3) S-Jackson(1) Buhner had the only homer.
Game #5:	Sanderson still fitting to get run support allow just 1 run in 7 innings. But Mcguire hit a homerun to give him his first win of the year despite as sub 2.50 era. WPG 2 Mic 1 W-Sanderson(1-2) L-Milacki(1-5) S-Freeman(6)
Summary	Winnipeg shows they are a contender and takes 4 of the 5 games. They are 19-12 but much better so far at home. Players of note: jay Buhner 4 for 13 with 3 homers with 5 runs and 5 rbis in the 5 games. Three decent pitchers Deshaies for Michigan game score 71, Candiotti and Stottlemyer for Winning with 70 and 72 game scores but all three only went 7 innings.

Chicago Demolition @ Portland Mavericks
Preview	The Portland Mavericks return home after a 19 game road trip. Portland won win 12 of 19 on the road despite getting shaken up by the Quakes in the last series. Visiting Portland is the Chicago Demolition who is uncharacteristically sweeping the basement in the AL East.Portland is in first place in the AL West with the Detroit Stars shooting right being them. Will the Demolition wake up and blow off the Brewery, or will I run out of cheesy metaphors? At least one of the two options is likely. Stay tuned sports fans… let’s… play… ball.
Game #1:	Doug Drabek 1-3 4.25 for Chicago vs Steve Avery 3-1 1.47 for Portland B1 Clark doubles in Wehner and then scores on FC to give Portland 2-0 lead. B3 Wehner scores again on a triple, this time by Gary Carter. The ball is bouncing off the Jantzen Diving lady today folks! 3-0 PDX. T6 Kal Daniels hits the jackpot with a two-run shot closing the gap to 1 run. T8 Boggs doubles down the line to scores Cuyler and tie the game. Daniels then scores Doran on a SF to give the Demolition the lead. B8 Dennis Eckersley comes on to relieve for Chicago and get the save (4). 4-3 Chicago.
Game #2:	Dave Stieb 1-2 3.54 for Chicago vs Ken Kill 2-2 4.73 for Portland T1 Demolition press early by Hill gets out of a bases loaded jam. T7 Both pitchers are on a shutout into the 7th when Portland’s bases loaded luck ends with Boggs coming through with a two-run single. 2-0 Chicago. B8 Portland strikes back with SF by Sprague. 2-1 Chicago. T9 Chicago add insurance run. B9 Gary Carter touches one off vs Radinsky to take away Chicago’s insurance, but Radinsky is able to hold on for the save. (1)
Game #3:	Brian Holman 1-4 3.68 for Chicago vs Luis Aquino 1-0 3.18 Aquino getting the start in place of injured Charlie Hough. T1 Strawberry scores Cuyler on SF. 1-0 CHI T2 Chicago gets two more to take 3-0. B3 Portland wakes up and storms back led by a two-out two-run single by Wehner after already scoring one. A Portland fan high on the juice runs onto the field and escapes back into the crowd. Get that man a beer! Portland immediately takes the lead off a Daniels error in left field (he was caught checking out the Jantzen Diving Lady’s anatomy on the play) A single RBI by Blauser ends the haul for Portland who leads 5-3. B6 More Portland as a two-out triple by Charlie Huff is followed by Ziele single. 6-3 Portland. T9 Demolition get two one with Culer and Doran. Floyd Bannister facing Strawberry, who sends one deep of the wall for a two-run triple to bring the Demolition within one with one out. Pena comes in to face Boggs who doubles to tie the game at 6 all. B9 Portland with the bases drunk and one out, Blauser vs Wohlers. Blauser hits one in the hole… but Guillen slides and gets to it… goes home… OUT, to first OUT!!! Huge DP for Chicago. T12 Portland bullpen depleted missing one pitcher with injury… Chicago gets one on a Blauser error (the FOURTH of the game for Portland). 7-6 Chicago. B12 Henry pitching for Chicago… but two walks and a bloop hit later and Portland loads the sacks with one out. Johnson grounds into a FC at home. Two outs, bases loaded, Portland first round pick Knoblauch at bat. Knoblauch pops out and Chicago gets the third straight in the series with a 7-6 hard-fought win.
Game #4:	Mike Timlin 0-3 6.75 for Chicago vs Greg Swindell 4-0 3.03. T3 No-out triple by defensive hero last game Ozzie Guillen. Guillen scores and ground out. 1-0 Chicago. Timlin with the brilliant performance gets the win and Scott Radinsky gets the save.
Game #5:	Roger Clemens 2-3 4.78 vs Mike Moore 3-3 3.19. T1 Moore walks the first three batters and Boggs starts the harvest with a two-run single. Things are looking bleak for the Mavericks. Where is the %&!ing rain! End of first 3-0 Chicago, who clearly brought the charges to Portland. B3 Portland gets three back to tie it up 3-3. B5 Portland actually takes a lead, 5-3 with a big two-run double by team leader Will Clark. T6 Chicago gets one back on FC RBI. 5-4 Portland. Chicago count mount a rally for the rest of the game and Pena comes into get his 6th save on the year. Chicago takes their basement sweeping experience and nearly sweeps the Mavericks, who are lucky to escape the series with a win. Chicago isn’t a basement team folks… the are on their way back up.

Detroit Stars @ Fort Worth Panthers
Preview	Detroit 2nd in the AL West comes to Cowtown to face the Panthers back from a disappointing 21 game road trip that sees them struggling in 4th place in the AL East despite having the 2nd best team ERA in the American League.
Game #1:	Solo home runs by Joyner and Parrish were all the offense Panther starter Wegman needed as he went 8 innings without giving up an earned run. Final Score: FWP 2, DET 1
Game #2:	Ft. Worth exploded for 6 runs in the 2nd as they sent 10 men to the plate. Scoring on a bases loaded HBP, sac fly, two singles, and a two run double by McGee. The Stars, who went into the bottom of the 2nd leading 2-0 added single runs in the 5th and 8th but couldn’t quite come back. Final Score: FWP 6, DET 4
Game #3:	4 Panther’s had a multi hit game led by Dave Winfields three hits while the Ft. Worth pen shut down a strong Detroit offense over the final 3.1 innings. Dave Parker would hit his first homer of the year for the Stars. Final Score: FWP 5, DET 2
Game #4:	Kevin Brown flirted with danger in each of his 5 plus innings, but somehow escaped without allowing an earned run. Meanwhile three Panther hitters drove in 2 runs each including two 2-run homers by Edgar Martinez and Roberto Kelly. Detroit would outhit Ft. Worth 12 to 9, but could only manage two runs. Final Score: FWP 7, DET 2
Game #5:	Ft. Worth put up crooked numbers in the first and third while Abbott dominated for 9 innings for his 2nd complete game of the season. Final Score: FWP 6, DET 1
Summary	Ft. Worth sweeps Detroit, but could still remain in 4th place in the very tough AL East.

Long Beach Titans @ Sugar Land Skeeters
Game #1:	Tapani and Howe combine on a shutout as SLS wins 4-0. Biggio with 3 RBI.
Game #2:	Navarro and Bankhead combine on a shutout of their own and Oliver gets two RBI without a hit. KBT 6-0.
Game #3:	Another shutout, this a 3-hit CG by Langston. 4-0 SLS.
Game #4:	Sugar Land gets seven runs on only seven hits for a 7-3 win. Fielder homers for Long Beach in the loss.
Game #5:	Fielder cranks two more homers to support Nichols’ six shutout innings. LBT wins 4-1.
Summary	Sugar Land wins three of five.

Game #3:	Cutthroats use three pitchers to combine for a 4 hit shutout. Francisco Cabrera breaks scoreless tie with solo HR in 6th. Ellis Burks finishes off Chihuahuas with grand slam in 7th. FINAL – MCT 6 – MEX 0
Game #4:	Mexico City scores three in 8th to come from behind to win. Alan Trammell gets three hits, 2 doubles, and 2 RBI. FINAL – MEX 5 – MCT 4
Game #5:	Montana scores 4 times in the 7th to tie the game at 5-5. But Mexico City scraps one across in the 9th to win. Ellis Burks hits two HRs in the losing effort. FINAL – MEX 6 – MCT 5
Summary	Mexico City takes the series 4 games to 1 over Montana despite not hitting a single homerun in the series. Mexico City wins both games with their 5 and 4 rated starters versus Montana’s 17 and 12 rated starters. Tough series for the home team.

Valdosta Bombers @ Clovis Cougars
Preview	First place Valdosta visits last place Clovis.
Game #1:	Valdosta wins it with a 4 run eighth highlighted by a bases loaded double of the bat of the starter Bryn Smith. Clovis had expected a pinch hitter but Smith refused to yield and the bold move payed off big time for the Bombers. Valdosta 6 Clovis 3
Game #2:	Valdosta hangs a 4 on the scoreboard in the first and hangs on for the 4-3 win as Walk tops Black. Finley went deep for the Bombers while Pena added one for the Cougars. Valdosta 4 Clovis 3
Game #3:	Smiley was cruising with a 3-0 lead before the wheels fall of in the 7th giving up a pair and departing with two on base. Wally Ritchie came in to provide some relief but Wes Chamberlain ended that idea with a big three run blast for a 5-3 Bomber lead. That is how it ended with the Bombers taking their third in a row. Valdosta 5 Clovis 3
Game #4:	The Big Unit took the mound for Clovis and took charge with a complete game effort yielding only an unearned run with two out in the ninth. Henderson hit his fifth homer for Clovis to lead the attack. Clovis 5 Valdosta 1
Game #5:	Hansen vs Browning for the series finale. Valdosta picked up a run in the fourth on a Wallach RBI but Clovis answered back with RBI’s from Reed and Murray in the bottom of the frame. That would be all of the scoring for either as the starters limited any further damage. Smith came on in the eighth for Clovis to pick up the 2 inning save. Clovis 2 Valdosta 1
Summary	Valdosta comes out on top in 3 of the 5 games for the series win.

Stockton Wings @ Janesville Juggernauts
Preview	The Stockton Wings come into Janesville to face the Juggernauts in a five game match up.
Game #1:	Erickson for the Wings was masterful, going 8.2 innings, striking out 8 in winning the game 8-0.
Game #2:	Game two was called in the 4th by the umpires as rain deluged the field. The Juggernauts were winning at the time 3-1.
Game #3:	An extra inning affair, the Juggernauts wins it in the bottom of the 10th to take game three 5-4.
Game #4:	Another marathon game for the teams, as this game isn’t decided until the 16th inning, with the Wings scoring six runs in the top of the inning but the Juggernauts went down swinging, scoring one run. Final: 11-6.
Game #5:	The final game of the series sees both bullpens with some fine pitching, as the Wings assert themselves again in winning 3-2. All the runs were scored off the starters as both bullpens shined.
Summary	Stockton wins the series 3-1 with a rain out. Next up for the Wings is another road game at Detroit, while the Juggernauts hit the road against the division leading California Quakes.

Germantown Grays @ Manhattan Gas Hornets
Preview	Germantown looks to gain ground this week on Steel City (1 game behind in NL West) as they come to the big apple to face the once mighty, but now lowly, Gas Hornets.
Game #1:	Grays use the bat of Greg Myers (3 for 3, HR (2) and 3 rbis) to power past the Gas Hornets 5-1. Finley (3-2) the win giving up 7 hits and 1 run. Felder suffers another injury for Gas Hornets and will make a trip to the DL.
Game #2:	The Grays rest Myers, but McRae (2 for 5, 4 rbis, HR [1]) and Thomas (2 for 5, 3 rbis, HR [5]) were plenty in taking the Grays to a 10-4 rout. Gas Hornets did get more hits than the Grays though (11 to 10), but Grays got 5 walks and benefited from 3 Manhattan errors.Morgan (3-3) the win.
Game #3:	DeLeon (6 hits, 8 Ks) and Stewart (4 hits, 4 ks) each go 9 innings and leave the game with the score 0-0. Game goes 13 and finally ends when Vanderwal, who up to this point had struck out in 4 of his 5 previous at bats, singles and then scores on a Huson triple. Mike Maddux, pitching the 13ths gave up the 2 hits. D. Jones (2-0) the win.
Game #4:	Mike Gardiner had some problems in the first giving up singles and walks and the Grays made the most of it – fielding blunders didn’t help either. Germantown tallied 5 times (3 earned) in the 1st. They added another run in the 6th. Manhattan chipped away – but never could overcome the 1st inning onslaught. Grays win 6-4. Appier (3-1) gest the win, Frohwirth the save. Huson continues his recent power production with a solo HR (1). Vanderwal suddenly is the offense driving in 3 runs on 3 hits.
Game #5:	Smoltz vs. Ashby – Smoltz gets a 1-0 lead in the 2nd on a Greg Myers HR (3) – he was smacking the ball all week. Ashby gets support in the 4th (2 runs), 5th (1 run) and after the Grays tie it with two in the 6th, the Gas Hornets come back with 2 of their own in the bottom half for a 5-3 lead. Doug Jones came on in the 7th and looked like Doug Jones, pitching the last three innings for his 3rd save on the season as the Gas Hornets won their 2 game of the series! Shocker. Final 5-3, Ashby the win (1-2), Smotlz the loss (2-3)
Summary	Grays take the series 3-2, not what they hoped for, Gas Hornet fans still struggling over the team’s abilities this year were pleasantly surprised with 2 wins.
