Janesville  Juggernauts @ Flossmoor  Flying Squirrels
Preview
Division battle between Flossmoor and Janesville. I played these games in the middle of the night at the hospital so the write up wont be as thorough.
Game #1:
An early candidate for most frustrating game of the year for Flossmoor as Greg Maddux tosses 7.2 innings allowing one run on five hits, and loses. Somehow Rheal Cormier tosses a complete game, 3 hit, shutout for the Juggernauts. Luis Gonzalez knocks in the lone run of the game. One run games will become a theme of this series.
JJG 1 – FFS 0
Game #2:

While game one was a pitchers duel, game two saw the bats wake up. This one was back and forth until the end with the Flying Squirrels walking it off in the bottom of the ninth. Jeff Bagwell with a homer and 2 RBI for Flossmoor, and Bichette and Morandini had a pair of RBI’s as well. Sosa goes yard for Janesville and Mark Lemke knocked in a pair as well.

FFS 8 – JJG 7

Game #3:

Same score as game three but reversed at the Juggernauts pull off the one run win hanging on to an 8-7 win. Sosa and Howell with homers and 3 RBI each for Janesville. Gant and Bagwell go deep for Flossmoor. Sutcliffe roughed up for 7 runs in the loss, Armstrong gets the win in relief and Rice picks up save number four.JJG 8 – FFS 7

Game #4:

Another one run game and another Janesville victory, once again holding off a late Flossmoor charge. Hammond goes 7 strong innings for the Jugs allowing three runs on six hits. Hibbard takes the loss, thanks in part to three unearned runs. Tony Fernandez was 4-4 with 2 RBI and 3 doubles for Janesville.JJG 6 – FFS 5

Game #5:

Hey look, another one run game! This time it was Flossmoor holding on to a late lead and escaping with the win. A pinch hit two run hit from Kirby Puckett gave the Squirrels the lead and Edwards and Olson (save #4) close it out. Sosa goes deep again for Janesville, which makes sense because I hate him. Danny Tartabull also with a three RBI game for the Juggernauts.FFS 8 – JJG 7

Game #6:

This one, was not close. The Squirrels had their hitting shoes on as they pounded out four home runs and plated 18 for Greg Madduz, after getting him none the last time out. Baines and Fryman went back-to-back twice off the same pitcher. Armstrong gets tagged for 9 runs (3 ER) in two innings. Plunk takes the loss (0-1, 10.05 ERA) and Maddux the win (4-2, 2.72 ERA).FFS 18 – JJG 7

Game #7:

The deciding game of the series and this time it was Janesville’s turn to put a hurting on the ball. The Jugs score 9 runs off Mike Boddicker in just two innings and then keep adding on against Charlton and Slocumb. In the end it was a 22 hit onslaught that scored 15 runs. Gonzalez the only long ball but every starter except Sosa (irony!) had at least one RBI. Cormier the winner (2-0, 1.20 ERA) and Boddicker the loser (2-2, 5.73 ERA). Molitor, Bagwell and Bichette did homer for Flossmoor in a losing cause.JJG 15 – FFS 7

Summary
Janesville takes the series four games to three in a wild series of games. Both teams have their flaws but the fans who like hitting certainly got their money’s worth in this one.
