Webb comes out after pitching 6 innings and giving up 3 hits and 2 runs.

| Game #4: | Hampton reverses course and comes back to score 4 in the 8th inning. Michigan had taken the lead in the 7th with 3 runs of their own. Derek Lee hits a 2 run homer in the 8th for Hampton. It’s his 19th homer. Marcus Giles also had a homer. Edmonds had a 3 run blast in the 7th for Michigan. And, Bret Boone hit his 11th. Nathan pitches 2.1 innings for the Huskies and earns his 4th win. Matt Clement drops to 3-4.

Dewitt is middle of the pack in both hitting and pitching. The Stealers have incredible pitching but simply can not score runs with any consistency. |
| Game #1: | The Stealers continue using their “Opener” and reliever chaos approach begin with D’Amico on the mound, while Dewitt counters with Rueter. The Tigers have won his last three starts hope to continue that trend.
The Reliever Chaos once again dominants for Southlake. The Stealers pen goes7 innings giving up just four hits, two walks and striking out 7. It was a dominant performance. The Stealers would score early thanks to some shaky Dewitt defense. With a dominant performance on the mound that was all that was needed. Lecroy hit his second homerun in as many games. Final score: Stealers 5-2 |
| Game #2: | Dewitt hopes to end a three game losing skid will try Bartolo Colon on the mound against the lefty Villone for Southlake.
Colon was strong for Dewitt until his manager left him in for one too many batters. In the bottom of the sixth Ventura hit a 3-run homer to give Southlake a lead they would not give up. Southlake starter Ron Villone was shaky but got outs when he needed them in securing his second win of the year. The Stealer bullpen once again dominates going the final three innings of no hit ball while striking out 4. Smoltz shut down the Tigers in the 9th getting his 11th save of the season. Final score: Stealers 6-4 |
| Game #3: | Stealers Ace Mark Prior woke up with back stiffness, causing Southlake to push back his scheduled start. Instead they call upon game one starter D’Amico to begin the game and then lean on their bullpen.
The Chaos philosophy works again as D’Amico gives up just one run and the bullpen goes 7 2/3 innings giving up just 4 hits while striking out 8. Unfortunately one of those hits was a solo shot by Sosa. On the Tigers side, Sidney Ponson would make those two runs scored count. He would limit the Stealers to just 3 hits and one run. Miller and Rodriguez would be dominant on the back end to earn the win for Dewitt. Final: Dewit 2-1 |
| Game #4: | Mark awoke early this morning and said his back felt fine, so it was time for the Stealers Ace to shine.
Going against future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux we expect a pitchers duel. Prior held up his end going 9 innings in shutting out the Tigers on five hits while recording 12 strikeouts. Could this effort give Prior his third pitcher of the week winner? For Dewitt, Anderson batting in the cleanup spot for the first time this year went yard in the first for a quick Southlake lead. Maddux’s day wouldnt get any better as the Stealers added 7 runs in the second inning and coasted to an easy victory. Final: Stealers 9-0 |
| Game #5: | Ichiro starts the game off with a lead off homer but then Dempster settles in. Meanwhile, one bad inning by Dubose does him in. A three run homer by Jones and a solo shot by Lee is all the offense the Tigers will need.
