Winnipeg Goldeyes @ Hampton Huskies
Series Preview:	Two Canadian teams celebrate Christmas by squaring off for six games in the snowy confines of Hampton Field.
Game #1:	Aramis Ramirez singled in the bottom of the 6th for a go-ahead and what proved to be winning run as Hampton topped Winnipeg 3-2. Solid starts on both sides by Tom Glavine (L,4-3) and Kevin Correia (W,2-2) with Matt Mantei coming in to get a 3-up, 3-down 9th for his 9th save. Marlon Byrd singled, doubled and scored a run for the Goldeyes. Marcus Giles homered for Hampton.
Game #2:	Winnipeg scored four unearned runs off Brandon Webb, but it was not enough as an early offensive outburst propelled Hampton to a 6-4 win.
Game #3:	Jeff Suppan tossed a four-hitter in a 5-0 Hampton win.
Game #4:	Winnipeg hitters greeted Wade Miller‘s return to the rotation with a nasty pummelling in a 8-6 win for the Goldeyes.
Game #5:	Jolbert Cabrera was nailed in the ass with a Francisco Cordero pitch with one out and the bases loaded in the 10th to give Hampton a limp-off 7-6 win.
Game #6:	J.D. Drew drove in five runs in an easy 11-3 win for Hampton.
Series Summary:	Hampton takes 5 of 6 over Winnipeg in the festive battle for the great white north.

Manhattan Gas Hornets @ Blarney Drive Bandits
Series Preview:	Hornets and Bandits for 6.
Game #1:	Bandits pillage Traber in the 1st for 5 runs and never look back. Ginter led the ambush with 2 HRs and 4 RBI. MGH 1 BDB 11 W: R. Ortiz (2-3) L: Traber (0-2)
Game #2:	It was close until the 6th when Manhattan plate 6. Hornets pile 5 more on down the stretch to return the drubbing. Phelps 3-4 r BI and HR, Cordero 2-5 w/ 4 RBI and HR and Sierra 3 RBI w/ HR enjoyed the feast. MGH 13 BDB 4 W: Halama (3-2) L: O. Perez (1-7)
Game #3:	Matt Morris pounded the strike zone and kept the ball on the ground over 6.2 innings of 1 run ball. Blarney never got anything going while Hornet bats kept a steady trickle of runs coming with the help of 16 hits. MGH 5 BDB 1 W: Morris (4-5) L: Johnson (5-4)
Game #4:	Blarney built up a nice 6 run lead over the first 7 innings and then nearly let it slip away. Hornet bats woke up and delivered 5 runs late to make it a nail-biter. 5 Hornets collect 2 more safeties on the day. MGH 7 BDB 8 W: Wells (4-3) L: Anderson (3-3)
Game #5:	Hornets tally 11 hits to the Bandits 12 but win in the all important Runs contest 7-6. Cordero’s 4 RBI powered Manhattan to the W. MGH 7 BDB 6 W: Wakefield (7-4) L: Rusch (0-6) S: Gordon (17)
Game #6:	Leiter was very good over 7 full and the Bandits pen held in the finale. MGH 2 BDB 5 W: Leiter (3-7) L: Traber (0-3) S: Alfonseca (2)

Hollywood Vampires @ Michigan Marauders
Series Preview:	Hollywood travels to Michigan for a six game series.
Game #1:	Hollywood 5 Michigan 2 Bonderman pitches relatively well for Michigan. He leaves with a 2-1 deficit. Hollywood scores 3 in the 9th inning to put the game away. Burnitz with a homer for the Vampires. Halladay goes to 8-3. Bonderman drops to 1-8.
Game #2:	Hollywood 10 Michigan 6 David Ortiz hits a homer and has 4 RBI. Furcal with 3 hits. Kip Wells wins his 2nd game. Gerut has 4 hits for Michigan.
Game #3:	Hollywood 7 Michigan 3 David Ortiz hits another homer and has 3 RBI to lead the way. Perez gets his 4th win. Livan Hernandez loses his 6th game. Bret Boone has 3 hits for Michigan.
Game #4:	Hollywood 5 Michigan 1 Floyd and Everett each hit homers. They each have 2 RBI. Mulder gives up 1 hit – a homer from Vinny Castilla.
Game #5:	Hollywood 3 Michigan 0 Halliday throws a complete game shutout. He gives up 4 hits. It’s his 9th win. David Ortiz with another homer.
Game #6:	Hollywood 13 Michigan 6 Football score for the finale at Michigan. Counsell with 3 RBI. Furcal with a homer and 2 RBI. Hollywood with 18 hits.
Series Summary:	Hollywood executes a sweep as Michigan’s bats didn’t really get going. Ortiz with 3 homers for Hollywood.

Dondero Oaks @ Southlake Stealers
Series Preview:	A couple of third place teams battle this week in Southlake. The Stealers finally home having played a league low 17 home dates so far. Both teams need this series to stay in the hunt for the Wild Card.
Game #1:	Dondero wants this one bad as they start off with their ace Redding on the mound. It wasn’t the start he was looking for as Nomar starts the scoring for Southlake belting a 2 run homer in the first. It could have been worse as the Stealers left the bases loaded this inning. Redding caught Relaford looking for the third out to limit the damage. Baldelli would score for the mighty Oaks on a basehit from Ibanez to half the lead in the third’ From that point on, the game became a duel with each team’s pitching staff coming up big. Redding showing why he is their ace keeping Southlake off the board the rest of the way. Southlake using a total of 6 arms to limit the Oaks to just the one run on three hits. Final score: 2-1 Southlake WP: Leskanic (1-0) LP: Redding 5-2 S: Smoltz (9)
Game #2:	Dondero takes advantage of bullpen and puts rare home loss on board for the Stealers. Dondero gets a lead off double in the 9th and brings him around on a sac fly to tie the game, then tags a worn out bullpen for five runs in the 11th to blow open the game. Gibbons comes up big for the mighty Oaks going 2/4 with two runs and two RBIs. Final score: Dondero 7-2 WP: Dejean (2-0) LP: Shuey (0-1)
Game #3:	Southlake looks to restart their home winning streak. They have been limited to just 3 runs in the first two games. Dondero Starter Johan Santana, says I can top that. Johan goes 9 innings, giving up just three hits and striking out 9 Stealers yielding no runs. Stealers pitching staff, says hold my beer. Three Stealers go 12 innings, giving up 4 hits, 2 BBs, and 9 strikeouts in yielding no runs. The only run of the day came in the bottom of the 12th on a one out bomb by Juan Encarnacion. Final Score: Stealers 1-0 in 12th WP: Leskanic (2-0) LP: Glover (0-1)
Game #4:	Dondero wouldnt allow Southlake to shut them out today. They scored early and often, plating one in the first, two in the second thanks to back to back bombs by Valentin and Baldelli, and one more in the third to lead 4-0. Encarnacion would single home Suzuki in the bottom of the third to slice the lead 4-1. Ishii was spectacular on the mound. He would limit the Stealers to just that one run on 6 hits through 6 innings. He struggled to start the 7th giving up his 7th hit and then hitting a batter. Dondero manager went to Glover who pitched the night before, and it wasnt a great decision. Gary struck out Suzuki and got Beltran to ground out but a two out walk to Nomar loaded them up and a single from Encarnacion scored two runs. Glover then hit White to load the bases and Lecroy cleared them with a double to give Southlake a 6-5 lead. The Stealers then put the game out of reach the next inning when Encarnacion hit a grand slam off Christiansen for his 7th RBI on the day. Final Score: Stealers 10-5 WP: Lopez (3-0) LP: Glover (0-2)
Game #5:	When you have Cy Young Candidate Prior on the mound you can expect a great game. Prior went 9 innings striking out 11 Oaks. But between those 11 strikeouts the Oaks added 10 hits, 2 walks and 6 (YES 6) Stealer errors to give Prior his second loss of the season. Lackey was masterful for the Oaks going 8 innings, giving up no runs and just 5 hits. The Stealers added two meaningless runs in the 9th otherwise, their offense was putrid. Final: Dondero 8-2 WP: Lackey (2-5) LP: Prior (9-2)
Game #6:	Dondero with the chance to split the series turned to ace Redding. The Oaks got a lead off homerun from Jimenez and then extended the lead when Gibbons went deep to lead off the 2nd inning. Beltran would sac home Anderson in the third to trim the lead 2-1. Blalock would double with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th to give Southlake a 4-2 lead. Dejean who was so masterful in game two let this game get out of hand when he gave up back to back bombs to Lecroy and Ventura the next inning. The Stealers would add two more runs to cap the scoring. Final: Stealers 8-2 WP:Dubose (3-1) LP: Redding (5-3)
Series Summary:	Stealers take the series 4 games to 2. They need to find some consistent scoring. The Oaks pitching staff proved tough, but they just couldnt find enough of it to last 6 six games.

Series Preview:	Chicago Demolition, the top team in the Central Division, travels to Houghton Pujols, I mean Penguins, the bottom team in the Americal League. Should be a fun series.
Game #1:	The Demolition just out to a 4-0 lead after 6 innings thanks to homeruns by Charles Johnson and former Penguin Tony Batista. In the bottom of the 7th, Albert Pujols hits a solo homerun and they score another to make the score 4-2, which is how the game ended. Game #2:	Houghton fights their way to their first lead of the series, 4-3, entering the top of the 9th inning on the strength of a solo homerun and a 3-run 2-out triple by Albert Pujols. Billy Wagner gave up 2 runs in the 8th and Brendan Donnelly gave up the 3-run triple to Pujols in the 8th to blow the save. Erasmus Ramirez comes in the top of the 9th to save the game for the Penguins, and 4 hits and 2 walks later the Penguins are down 5-4 going into the bottom of the 9th inning. Game #3:	Pedro Martinez takes the mound for Chicago and Kris Benson starts for Houghton. After 6 innings, each pitcher has gone pitch for pitch. Both pitchers leave the game pitching 6 Innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and 2 walks. The only differences are Pedro’s bomb to Albert Pujols and his 8 K’s to Benson’s 2. Pedro leaves the game raising his ERA to a 1.34, and Benson lowers his ERA to 6.10. The demolition pull away with 1 run in the 8th and 9th innings. Game #4:	After a quiet first 3 games, the Demolition offense came alive by scoring 10 runs on 15 hits. Shannon Stewart and Tim Salmon hit homeruns. The Houghton Pujols did great by driving in 5 runs, while the rest of the team drove in 0. Final score, 10-5. Game #5:	Chicago’s Kevin Millwood and Houghton’s Mark Buehrle settle in for a pitcher’s duel. Chicago scores first blood with 1 run in the 5th, but Houghton comes back with 2 runs in the 6th. That’s all the runs in the game as Houghton win’s their first game of the series 2-1. Win: Buehrle (6-4) Loss: Millwood (4-4) Save: Ramirez (1) Pujols Tracker: 1/3, 1 BB
Game #6:	Ted Lilly makes his 2nd start of the series for Houghton against Chicago’s Roger Clemens. Lilly right away gives up 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Clemens goes 7 scoreless innings. Billy Wagner comes in the 8th to pitch the final 2 innings, but gives up a 2-out triple to Eric Byrnes and Brendan Donnelly comes in to pick up the 1-out save. Series Summary:	Chicago comes into Houghton and takes 5 of 6 games, but 5 of those games were low scoring with Houghton winning or losing by 1 or 2 runs. Flora-Bama Mullets @ Gladstone Gladiators
Game #1:	Flora-Bama came out swinging, taking an 8-0 lead after 3 innings. But Gladstone started to chip away at the lead, a run here, a run there, and after 8 innings, Flora-Bama’s lead was 8-7. The bullpen continued to shut down the Mullet bats, and in the bottom of the 9th, Juan Uribe reached on an error, then went to 3rd on a one-out hit-and-run by Mark Loretta. Uribe scored on a single by Richard Hidalgo, who took second while Loretta was thrown out trying for third. Jeff Bagwell then drove Hidalgo in to complete the comeback and win the game for the Gladiators! FINAL SCORE: GLA 9 – FNA 8
Game #2:	The bats on both sides were quieter in a see-saw game, with the Mullets taking the early lead in the first, then the Gladiators notching runs in the 1st and 2nd innings to claim the lead for themselves, the Mullets tying it in the 4th and reclaiming the lead in the 8th. Gladstone wasn’t done yet, though, and tied the game in the bottom of the 9th and won it in the 10th. FINAL SCORE: GLA 4 – FNA 3
Game #3:	Flora-Bama’s bats woke up and hammered Gladstone pitching, and the Gladiators were never able to get up off the mat, and their 9th inning rally fell short. FINAL SCORE: FNA 11 – GLA 8
Game #4:	A low-scoring affair, with Gladstone taking a 2-0 lead after 4 innings, but Flora Bama tied it with runs in the 5th and 7th. Finally, the Gladiators picked up another run in their half of the 7th and that was all she wrote. FINAL SCORE: GLA 3 – FNA 2
Game #5:	The Mullets took control early and didn’t really let up, as Gladstone was unable to answer. FINAL SCORE: FNA 7 – GLA 4
Game #6:	Flora-Bama hammered Geremi Gonzalez in a rematch of Game 1’s pitching matchup, but this time, the Gladiators couldn’t muster much of anything against Curt Schilling. FINAL SCORE: FNA 11 – GLA 2
Series Summary:	All the fireworks wound up yielding a series split, 3-3.
