RECORD BREAKING PACE – DELGADO DOUBLES UP
Seeing double? Most pitchers do anytime Carlos Delgado steps to the plate. The Chicago Demolition 1st baseman has ripped 57 2-baggers thus far into the season. 14 better than Todd Helton currently in 2nd.
He is 12 away from the record holder Keith Hernandez who got to 69 during the 1979 season. With plenty of games left, Carlos might be able to catch him. That is, if pitchers continue to throw to him.
