1999 DRAFT

The 1999 Mid-West Winter League Draft is scheduled for a soft start on Monday, March 7th, 2022.

The Draft is scheduled for Monday 03/07 – Saturday 03/26

The 1999 MWWL Draft Order has now been posted & the complete 288 Pick, 12 Round Selection Order has been posted. 

This year we will be using a Google Spreadsheet for the Draft – courtesy of  Steve Cutler.

It will be a soft start on Monday 03/07 & time slots will start on Friday, 03/11.

Each time slot will be a 15 Minute Block.

If you do not make your pick by the designated time slot you will be skipped.

If you missed your time slot, you can go back in and make your skipped selection at any time.

1. Everyone was added to the Google spreadsheet, so please bookmark that on your computer. 
2. Round 1, picks 1-6 have been set based on the 1999 Draft Lottery.
   1.  A peach-ish highlight means the pick was traded to that team.
3. If you are using your phone, download the Google Sheets app from your APP STORE so you can access it from there as well.
   1. Drafting is simple.  You locate the Player # (column A) on the “Player Master List” then go to the “DraftOrder” tab and enter that # in the Player # (column F).  Everything else will populate.
   2. If a Player # is blacked out on the “Player Master List”, it means they are not available.
4. Make sure to also download the Slack app from your APP STORE as well.  Every time someone makes a pick, a post will automatically be sent to the #MWWL room letting you know, (1) which team picked, (2) which team is up, and (3) which team is on deck
5. Draft “Soft” start date: Monday, March 7^th at 8:00 AM ET.  This means that teams can begin to make picks, but there is no forced timeframe you must pick in.  Obviously, we want to move fast, but we recognize that teams will need a little time to make some last-minute draft plans.  If you are up and want to make your pick before the soft start day of Monday, feel free.  There is nothing stopping you.
6. Draft “Timed” start date: Friday, March 11^th.  The timed draft window is from 10:00 AM ET-10 PM ET.  Time slots are all 15 minutes, however, if the team before you chooses in 1 minute or overnight, your timeslot is unaffected – meaning you could have longer than 15 minutes to pick.  This method worked very well in LEG.  There were times multiple picks were made quickly and the team on the clock had 2+hours to pick.  Knowing your timeframe ahead of time helps you plan for your pick.  If you do not pick before your time is up you will be skipped, but can make your pick at any time.
7. Lists: Stray and I are happy to take lists from anyone that wants to send them to us.  If you have a buddy to make your picks in your absences, that works too.
8. Max Rosters: In spite of your number of draft picks, if you reach 38 players, you will automatically be skipped.  I will be keeping tabs on that on the ‘Owners’ tab.
