| Game #3: | Eddie Murray comes through for BDB as he hits 2 and drives in 5, they also got homers from Klesko, Green and Whitaker. Homers by Mcgwire, Buhner and Owens were not enough as Winnipeg falls short 8-7. Hampton wins his 11th for BDB. |

In the 4th the Huskies Eisenreich, Tettleton and Surhoff string a set of singles to tie the score. The Bums respond in their next at bat, Huson singled, advanced on a grounder and scored on a Johnson throwing error. Huskies Eisenreich and Surhoff single in the 6th and tie the score on a passed ball. | Game #2: | Bums go to Smoltz (14-4, 3.98) and the Huskies Hershiser (16-6, 3.17). Bums start early in the 1st. Alomar singled, Caminiti doubled and Thomas lifted a sacrifice fly. In the 7th the Huskies fill the bases with a couple of walks and McRae single, then score on a Lewis sacrifice fly. Tie game. In the next at bat Alomar singled, stole and after a Caminiti walk Sanders dropped one over the infield, Bums 2-1. Pinch hitter Brumfield then doubled off the wal bringing in two, 4-1. Bums score first in the 3rd on singles by Alomar, Thomas and Nunnally. Bums MacFarlane led off the 4th with a homer, 2-0. Tarasco breaks the game open with a grand slam in the 5th, 6-0. The Huskies came roaring back with one in the 6th and five in the 7th on a grand slam by Young, Bums 8-6. Huskies add another in the 8th on singles by McRae, Gomez, and Rodriguez. Bums Aguilera allowed Huskies to reach second and third with 0-out, then filled the bases before striking out McRae. 2-out. Bottom 9th. Bums 8-7. Gomez goes down swinging. Save 34. Sanders banged an RBI single in the 3rd, Bum 1-0. In the 4th Bums Bullinger walked the bases loaded with 0-out. Then Bobby J Jones singled in a couple, Huskies 2-1. With 2-out in the 6th Busch smacks a 2-run homer, Bums 5-3. Huskies fill the bases in the 9th with 1-out chasing Aguilera threatening his 23 game save streak.
