| Game #2: | The two teams went back and forth in this one. Trailing 6 to 2 in the top of the 6th the Chihuahuas tied the game at 6 on a two RBI triple by Tony Gwynn and a pinch hit 2 run homer by Kevin Mitchell. Delino DeShields leads off the home half of the 6th with his 2nd triple of the game scoring on a single by Fred McGriff to put the Panthers back in front 7-6. However the lead changed again in the top of the 7th when Don Mattingly tied the game on a double and later scored the go ahead run on a Steve Buechele single. Ft. Worth goes back in the lead for a final time in the bottom of the 8th when Roberto Kelly hit a two run homer and got some insurance when Wally Joyner also hit a two run homer.

| Game #3: | Danny Darwin cooled the Panther hitters and ended Ft. Worth’s 15 game winning streak by pitching a complete game for Mexico City. Darwin allowed only 7 hits and 1 run while striking out 6.

Bandits go to the pen starting the 6th. Glavine allows just 8 base runners over 6.2 but Eddie Murray found a hole on the infield to plate Mayne in the 5th. That would be all the home squad would need as 4 Bandit pitchers combine for the shutout.

| Game #3: | Another tight start as teams are tied 1-1 after 4 full. Candiotti loads the bases in the bottom half of the 5th and Kim Batiste crushes a Grand Slam to bust the game open for Blarney. Bandits pen wavers a bit in the 7th and 8th but hang on.
