1993 OPENING DAY
The anticipation of another Opening Day, (The 24th, in Mid-West Winter League History) was at a fevered pitch when minutes before game time of the Germantown Grays that Mike McCready played the Canadian, United States & Mexican National Anthems. The Grays were taking on the Blarney Drive Bandits. Both franchises have aspirations for the Playoffs, along with Sugar Land, Missouri, Valdosta & Winnipeg in 1993. In the American League California, Portland, Mexico City, Flossmoor & Stockton are the favorites before the season is underway
