Summary	Valdosta takes six of seven in a series that was closer than it appeared. Well, in some games.

Detroit Stars @ Chicago Demolition
Preview	Detroit rolled into the Windy City after the 5 hour drive west on I-94 for a 5 game set.
Game #1:	Mike Bielecki is pitching a Gem and with 1 out left to go the Detroit manager goes to his closer Rob Dibble. Tom Lawless who is on first base steals second, and then pinch hitter George Brett knocks in the game tying run. In the bottom of the 11th off Dibble again, pinch hitter Gene Larkin singles home Tom Lawless for the winning run. Final Score: Chicago 2 Detroit 1
Game #2:	Jose Delon (18-6 2.19) goes 8 strong & Dave Parker is 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s. Detroit cruises in this one. Final Score: Detroit 6 – Chicago 1
Game #3:	George Bell is 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s & the Detroit Bullpen picks up the win & Rob Dibble gets his 29th save. Final Score: Detroit 4 – Chicago 3
Game #4:	Roger Clemens (16-7 2.96) goes the distance allowing only 1 run. Mike Scioscia is 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, Darryl Strawberry is 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and Bill Doran chips in with 2 RBI’s as well. Final Score: Chicago 6 Detroit 1
Game #5:	Dave Stieb (15-5) pitches 8 strong allowing no runs. Chicago goes to the closer in the 9th & Dennis Eckersley notches his 35th save on the season. Final Score: Chicago 3 Detroit 0
Summary	Chicago wins the series 3 games to 2 – but the series could have went either way. this could be an in season preview for the American League Playoffs.

Fort Worth Panthers @ California Quakes
Summary	Fort Worth takes 5 of 7 from California, taking out Canseco and Treadway in the process. The Quakes are limping toward the finish line.

Mexico City Chihuahuas @ Janesville Juggernauts
Preview	A seven game matchup between the American League West leader Mexico City and the Janesville Juggernauts, who are struggling to find that groove.
Game #1:	All Mexico City, scoring 6 runs in the top of the first to cruise to a 13-3 victory.
Game #2:	Mexico City scores all its runs early as they win game two 5-1..
Game #3:	Pitching again haunts the Juggernauts as the bullpen gives up 9 earned losing to Mexico 11-1. Eric Show is lost for the season due to injury.
Game #4:	Again Mexico puts the game away early, as they walk away with a 11-3 win.
Game #5:	Bob Welch finally stops the losing streak, as Janesville takes game five 8-1. Welch goes the distance in improving to 13-9 on the season.
Game #6:	A tough loss for Alexander, as he gives up 3 runs in the first but loses the game 3-2 to Fernandez, who wins his 19th of the season.
Game #7:	Another pitchers duel, Mexico City comes up on top 1-0 as both pitchers go the distance. Davis falters in the top of the 9th to lose it.
Summary	Mexico City cruises to a 6-1 series victory, keeping their hold on the division as they head to the playoffs.

Germantown Grays @ Michigan Marauders
Preview	Big series here for Michigan who is dropped into 3rd place behind Valdosta. Germantown comes in at 3rd place in their division.
Game #1:	This game was tremendously pitched by two great leftys. Chuck Finley throws 9 scoreless innings for the Grays. Mark Langston throws 10 scoreless innings for Michigan. This game doesn’t get decided until the 14th inning. Marty Barrett gets the game winner on a single. Moreland and Slaught each with 3 hits for Michigan. Murphy with 3 hits for the Grays.Michigan 1 Germantown 0 (14)
Game #2:	Michigan finally gets some offense and rolls over the Grays. Both of the Grays runs are on solo blasts by Lynn and Murphy. Palmeiro and Bo Jackson each get 3 hits for Michigan. Higuera throws a solid 7 innings for the win. Carpenter takes the loss. Michigan 8 Germantown 2
Game #3:	Germantown takes an early 5-0 lead. Michigan nips away, but falls one run short. Xavier Hernandez earns his first win. Acker gets his 4th save. Dale Murphy with a homer and 3 RBIs. Deshaies drops to 17-7 for Michigan. Germantown 5 Michigan 4
Game #4:	Germantown wins its 2nd straight by winning 5-4 again. Smoltz picks up the win and is now 13-14. Montgomery earns his 37th save. McGwire with a homer for Germantown and Bo Jackson hits one for Michigan. Germantown 5 Michigan 4
Game #5:	Chuck Finley is denied his 20th win by Michigan, as the Mauraders win the game and series. Tough lefty Frank Tanana gives up 1 unearned run on the day. Tanana is now 12-10. Keith Moreland and Tom Brunansky get the Michigan RBIs. Michigan 2 Germantown 1
Summary	Overall, this was a pretty fun series with four close games. And, the 1st game went 14 innings. Michigan wins 3 of 5 from Germantown, but loses ground to Germantown.

Game #1:	Clovis 5 LB 3 Smiley picks up 14th win while Robinson drops his 19th.
Game #2:	Clovis 10 LB 2 Clovis pounds Titans as McCaskill picks up the win.
Game #3:	Clovis 3 LB 2 Walling’s pinch hit single in the 6th brings home the winning run.
Game #4:	LB 1 Clovis 0 Bolton is marvelous with a complete game shutout to slow down Clovis.
Game #5:	LB 5 Clovis 1 Inky and Wilson pound homers to support Viola’s complete game effort.
Game #6:	LB 6 Clovis 5 10 innings Inky slams two more homers and Mel Hall drives home the game winner in the 11th as Long Beach ties series at 3 apiece.
Game #7:	Clovis 5 LB 4 13 innings Terry Kennedy homers to lead off the bottom of the 13th to give Clovis the game and the series.
Summary	Clovis starts out hot with 3 straight but Long Beach comes back with 3 straight of their own. Rubber match is a good one that Terry Kennedy finally ends in the 13th with a walk off homer.

Montana Cutthroats @ Stockton Wings
Preview	Montana vs. Stockton in a 7 game series
Game #1:	MCT 9 – STO 4WP: Witt (CG) LP: Dopson HR: Tettleton (2), Leonard, Hayes Montana jumped all over Dopson early and held a 6-0 lead after two innings. Witt went all the way despite four Stockton solo shots.
Game #2:	STO 3 – MCT 1WP: Ojeda LP: K. Hill (CG) SV: Schooler HR: none Ojeda had eight Ks and Lavalliere had two RBI for Stockton. Hill went all the way in a losing effort for Montana
Game #3:	STO 5 – MCT 4WP: Monteleone LP: Fraser HR: C. Davis, Kunke lWild seesaw battle. Stockton took an early 3-0 lead, but Kunkel tied it with a three-run blast in the fifth. Montana took the lead on an E2 in the top of the eighth. Hatcher’s RBI single tied it again in the bottom of the eighth, and then his walkoff single won it for Stockton in the ninth.
Game #4:	STO 3 – MCT 2WP: Monteleone LP: Flanagan SV: Schooler HR: none Montana could not hold an early lead, as Stockton takes the game with a three-run sixth inning. Monteleone gets his second relief win in two days.
Game #5:	MCT 6 – STO 4WP: DotsonLP: Hillegas SV: Lancaster HR: Hayes Montana jumps out to another early lead, but holds on this time. Stockton made it interesting late.
Game #6:	MCT 9 – STO 7WP: Assenmacher LP: Stanley SV: Lancaster HR: Hrbek, Harper, Hatcher Montana jumps out to a 5-0 before Stockton came to bat. But the Wings put up their own five run inning in the second. Single runs by Montana in the fifth, sixth and eighth ice it for the Cutthroats.
Game #7:	STO 5 – MCT 4WP: Ojeda LP: Krueger SV: Nelson HR: Hayes (2), Brookens Hayes started and ended the Stockton scoring with solo home runs, his second one, in the eighth inning, was the difference for Stockton. Kunkel had two RBI for Montana. Ojada pitched a great game on short rest.
Summary	Stockton takes the series 4 games to 3.Ojeda had two wins, as did Monteleone, for Stockton. Schooler added two saves.Lancaster had two saves for Montana.Stockton hit 11 home runs in the series. Seven of them were solo shots, and four of those were by Charlie Hayes. For Montana, Jeff Kunkel had 7 RBI and a HR. Dave Gallagher had five RBI and stole home.
