Blarney Drive Bandits @ Winnipeg Goldeyes
Series Preview:	Winnipeg is up to a rough start 0-6 and now Barney Drive comes to town.
Game #1:	OMG Curt Schilling our 256 inning workhorse ace injured for 12 games! Yep not a good thing. Randy Johnson throws a 2 hitter for BDB and gets the win. BDB 4 Wpg 1
Game #2:	Lowell, Klesko and Howard homer 6-2 BDB and David Wells gets the win.
Game #3:	Green hits two homers of Glavine but the old ace does well getting Winnipegs first win! Lofton and Ventura homer in the 7-3 WPG win.
Game #4:	Kennedy pitches a gem. 6-1 Winnipeg win.
Game #5:	Green and Klesko homer but not enough as Winnipeg wins 7-4.
Game #6:	Double header game 2. Randy Johnson amazing again. 1 hitter. 4-0 BDB
Series Summary:	Somehow the injured old team from Winnipeg wins 3 of the 6. Blarney ace Randy Johnson was amazing 2-0 14 innings 1 run 19 strikeouts 3 hits!

Baltimore Blue Crabs @ Hamton Huskies
Game #1:	Jorge Posada drove in four runs with a home run and a double with Adam Dunn kicking in with a homer and double of his own as the Blue Crabs beat up on Tony Armas Jr in an 11-1 laugher. Sean Casey also had two doubles and a single and drove in two runs for the winners. Tim Hudson went seven strong and allowed just one run on two hits. Robert Fick homered for Hampton, but no one cared.
Game #2:	Hampton did a nice job of chipping away at an early 5-1 Baltimore lead to tie it up and send it into extra innings only to have “closer” – that’s with a silent “C” – Tom Gordon give up two walks and two hits including a three-run homer to Mark Quinn in the 13th to give the Blue Crabs an 8-5 extra-inning win. The Crabs chased Hampton starter Barry Zito early thanks to a grand slam but slugger supreme Tony Eusebio in the 5-run Baltimore 4th. Kyle Farnsworth tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to get the much deserved win for Baltimore.
Game #3:	Chipper Jones smacked his 4th homer of the season to pace Baltimore to a 7-3 win over Hampton. Sean Casey had three hits.
Game #4:	Baltimore counted four in the first and the ninth innings in another easy win with this one ending at 11-4. Mark Quinn drove in three runs for the Crabs with Jimmy Rollins, Preston Wilson and Tony Eusebio homering. Jeromy Burnitz came through with a meaningless home run for Hampton. Bruce Chen continued to pitch like complete shit … which he actually is … lasting two innings and falling to 0-2 on the season.
Game #5:	In the first game of a doubleheader, it took a two-hitter from Barry Zito to finally land these Huskies nitwits a win – 2-0. Zito fanned six and walked two in addition to giving up the two singles. That makes him 2-0 while the rest of the pitching staff is 0-8. Nice.
Game #6:	Back to normal, Tony Armas Jr. went the distance in this one … not for any good reasons … as he walked nine and gave up 14 hits in yet another laugher won by Baltimore 12-3. Dmitri Young was the big producer for Baltimore with four singles that drove in five runs. Chipper Jones homered twice and Kevin Young once. Preston Wilson got hit in the wrist by a pitch in the game and will be lost to Baltimore for the next week.
Series Summary:	A tremendous performance by the Huskies results in the Baltimore Blue Crabs mopping up the floor with them and taking 5 of 6. On the bright side, there was no 7th game.

Southlake Stealers @ Monroeville Maulers
Series Preview:	The Maulers arrive home for the home opening series after a sub-par performance at Harper Woods. Southlake off to a 4-1 start and in first place.
Game #1:	SSS 2-6-0 / MVM 4-9-0 Jason Schmidt W 1-1 Danny Graves L 0-1 Maulers lead 1-0 after 7 as Jason Schmidt is cruising. Southlake plates 2 in the 8th but the Maulers break free after trailing 2-1 plating 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th. Jason Schmidt complete game 6 hitter. David Eckstein 2-4, Chris Singleton 2-3 Einar Diaz 3-4, 2B(2), Russ Branyan 1-3, HR(2)
Game #2:	SSS 6-10-2 / MVM 4-10-0 Danny Graves W 1-1, Danys Baez S(3) Julian Tavarez L 0-2 Both teams start the scoring early as Darryl Kile gets ejected for “bean-balling” Vladimir Guerrero sending him to the showers for the game. However, the Southlake bullpen was lights out gaining inspiration from their teammates’ intimidation and shutdown the Mauler “hammers” the rest of the way. Game #3:	SSS 4-10-1 / MVM 3-11-0 Scott Schoeneweis W 1-1, Robb Nen S(1) Darrin Oliver L 1-1 Once again, the Southlake bullpen is lights out after the Maulers gain 9 hits early but strand 8 runners and trail 4-3. Victory by committee for the Stealers as 8 batters get hits. Game #4:	SSS 7-12-0 / MVM 5-11-0 Frank Castillo W 2-0, Paul Shuey S(1) Jon Lieber L 0-2 Maulers jump out early 4-2 but Jon Lieber tires in the 7th and 8th and can’t find help from an exhausted and basically inept Mauler’s bull pen as the Stealers take the lead platting 2 runs in each frame. Frank Castillo completes 8 IP settling down after a slow start and hands it over to a more than capable SSS bull pen for the save. Once again, the Stealers use bully tactics to take out MVM star outfielder Vladimir Guerrero for the game with another bean ball! No ejection this time! Who do they know at the top??? Game #5:	SSS 4-9-2 / MVM 9-17-0 Julian Tavarez W 1-2, Ramiro Mendoza S(2) Chuck Finley L 1-1 Finally, it’s “HAMMERING TIME!” as the Maulers pound out 17 hits chasing SSS starter Chuck Finley in the 5th. Julian Tavarez hurls 6 IP of effective baseball then turns it over to Ramiro Mendoza for the save. Game #6:	SSS 2-8-0 / MVM 7-10-0 Paul Shuey L 0-1, BS(1) Willis Robert W 1-0 2-1 SSS after 6 then once again it’s “HAMMERING TIME!” as the Maulers pound out 6 runs for the victory to gain a series split. Hitting by committee as 8 batters “hit’em where they ain’t” Frank Catalanotto 2-5, Einar Diaz 2-4 2B(4), Russ Branyan 1-2 HR(4) RBI (6)
Series Summary:	SSS 25-55-4 / MVM 29-68-0 Overall, the Maulers outperform SSS offensively but LOB 49 to SS LOB 35. Looking grim for the Maulers after 4 games losing 3 out of 4, as the bats couldn’t find a solution for the tough Southlake pitching with runners in scoring position. However, the Maulers pull their stirrups straight and lace up the spikes tight for the twin bill taking both to walk away with a series split. We’ll take it although the dynamic duo of Troy Glaus and Vladimir Guerrero are nothing short of a very disappointing start. Maulers are fortunate to only be 1 game under .500 without the offensive production from their two stars. Southlake at 7-4 after week 2 with an impressive offense attack along with a solid pitching staff.

Manhattan Gas Hornets @ Flora-Bama Mullets
Series Preview:	Flora-Bama hosts Manhattan for a six game series in Pensacola. How long will the fans have to wait for the first homerun to reach the bay in the inaugural series at Pensacola Stadium?
Game #1:	Morris vs. Person The fans only had to wait half an inning as Piazza put a two run homer into the bay in the bottom of the 1st. Piazza added another two run shot in the 5th. The Mullets added a six run in the 8th to finally chase Morris. Flora-Bama – 7-1 W – Person (2-0), L – Morris (1-1)
Game #2:	Reed vs. Leiter Mullets scored two runs on three hits in the first to go up 2-1 after giving up an unearned run to start the game. Liefer solo homer in 4th made it 3-1. A Martinez rbi single brought it back to a one run game in 6th. Graffanino rbi single tied it in the 7th as the Hornets got to the Mullets pen. Reed allowed two runners in the 7th, but managed to work out of it. Reed got his 10th SO to start the 8th, but then gave up back to back singles. Shaw bailed him out for the final two outs. Trammel led off the 9th with a solo homerun of Sasaki to give the Hornets their first lead since the 1st inning. Shaw also pitched a quiet 9th for the win. Manhattan 4-3 W – Shaw (1-0), L – Sasaki (0-1)
Game #3:	Wakefield vs. Adams Martinez singled in Durham in the 1st after he reached and stole 2B. In the 2nd, Liefer and Perez went deep as the Mullets rallied to go up 4-1. In the 3rd, Kendall tripled in two runs and then scored the tying run on a sac fly. Mullets went to the pen to stop the bleeding. In the bottom of 3rd, Gonzalez singled and Sierra doubled to start the inning but Wakefield worked a miracle to get out of it. A Perez single and a throwing error put the Mullets up 5-4 in 4th. Mullets added an insurance run in 7th. In the 8th, Van Popple walked the bases loaded and the Hornets tied it up 6-6. Little Nefi Perez hit his second two run homer of the game in the 8th off Kim. 8-6 Mullets. Henderson doubled in the 9th, but Banks recovered to preserve the win. Flora-Bama 8-6 W – Banks (1-0), L – Kim (0-1)
Game #4:	Maduro vs. Burnett Deshields led off with a single and a SB as the Hornets played small ball for two runs off a wild Burnett. Additional runs in the 3rd and 4th made it 4-0. Down 5-1 in the 8th, Rios pinch hit a solo hr, Olerud singled, Berkman singled, Gonzalez doubled, and Sierra doubled to tie it 5-5. Back to Back doubles with two outs in the 9th from Stairs and Anderson put the Hornets back on top. 6-5. Kim made quick order of the Mullets this time in the bottom of the 9th. Manhattan 6-5 W – Hernandez (1-0) L – Banks (1-1), S – Kim (#2)
Game #5:	Halama vs. Person Mullets got on the board first with a Piazza solo homerun. Kendall and Martinez each hit solo homeruns in 3rd to put the Gas Hornets up 2-1. Hunter doubled and Bell singled to tie it 2-2. Berkman and Gonzalez rbi singles in the 5th put the Mullets back up 4-2. Stairs solo in 6th and Dave Martinez rbi single tied it again. 4-4. Olerud double and rbi single from Rowand put Mullets up again 5-4. Marintez solo off Charlton tied it yet again 5-5. Mullets put two runners on in the 8th without any outs and Manhattan turned to Kim. Rios popped up for one out, but Olerud walked to load the bases. Liefer came on as pinch hitter and crushed a double to put the Mullets up 7-5. A Perez sac fly made it 8-5. Hornets put two runners on in the 9th, but Banks got Durham swinging to stop the seesaw battle. Flora-Bama 8-5 W – Charlton (1-0), L Standridge (0-1), S – Banks (1)
Game #6:	Morris vs. Hernandez In the bottom of the 1st, Olerud singled, Berkman walked, Piazza singled and Juan Gone crushed a grand slam that made it 4-0 after only four batters. In the 3rd, Piazza hit a solo hr and Kennedy added a rbi double that made it 6-0. Anderson hit a solo homerun in the 5th, but that was the only run the Gas Hornets could muster off the Mullet’s pen. Flora-Bama 6-1 W – Walker (1-0), L – Morris (1-2)
Series Summary:	The addition of John Olerud seems to have added a spark to Flora-Bama’s offense as they scored 37 runs in six games. The Mullets won their inaugural series at home (4-2), but Manhattan highlighted the weaknesses in the pen to nab two one run wins. It looks like Manahattan and Flora-Bama are destined to have many battles for the division in the years to come. Mike Piazza was the player of the series with four homeruns.

Houghton Penguins @ DeWitt Tigers
Series Preview:	Dewitt welcomes division rival Houghton to town for 6.
Game #1:	Behind 3 solo home runs Dewitt takes game 1 3-2 Home Runs Sosa Jones and Speizio. Lawton with the Homer for Houghton.
Game #2:	Dewitt takes game two 2-1.
Game #3:	Houghton wallops DeWitt 16-4. A 7 run 5th was the big blow.
Game #4:	DeWitt 8-4.
Game #5:	Dewitt takes a wild game 13-12 in ten after Houghton scored 5 in the 9th to tie.
Game #6:	Dewitt takes the final game 4-2.
Series Summary:	Dewitt takes the series 5-1 over Houghton.

Series Preview:	Two divisional rivals with Iowa having now idea where his team will end up this year being first year in the league.
Game #1:	CBL 1-3-0 LP J Mays 0-2 IOW 2-8-0 WP Maddux 1-1 Greg Maddux pitched a great game going 8 2/3 giving up 1 er 3 hits but a arm injury cause his relief as he going injured for 7 days, but Iowa gets win 2-1.

Series Summary:	Hollywood wins the series 4-2. They won the first 4 games, and lost the doubleheader. They didn’t plan for the DH (not realizing it) and mis-handled it’s pitching staff in game 1, leading to the game 2 disaster.

4California Quakes Dondero Oaks
Series Preview:	New division rivals face off for the first time in history. Both California and Dondero are coming off terrible opening weeks, both finishing 1-4. Dondero hosts a MWWL game for their first time.
Game #1:	Dondero gets 7 strong from Steve Sparks and the bullpen holds down the California bats. J.D. Drew hit a solo shot for the Quakes which was their only run. Dondero got a huge 3 run shot from Reggie Sanders in the 3rd inning and they never needed to score again. Dondero 4 California 1 W: S. Sparks (1-1) L: S. Parris (0-1) S: M. Rivera 1
Game #2:	California bounces back and puts up 8 as J.D. Drew had another good game. This time a home run and 4 RBIs as his bat has been a bright spot in a rough start for the team. Dondero got 4 RBIs from Jose Valentin but it wasn’t enough as California had 3 total home runs and Dondero was kicking the ball around all afternoon with 3 errors. California 8 Dondero 5 W: A. Benes (1-1) L: M. Wise (0-1)
Game #3:	Kevin Jarvis goes the distance for Dondero only scattering 4 hits and 2 walks. If there was ever a time a team needed to not use the bullpen it was now. Jay Gibbons and Andres Galarraga both go deep for Dondero as California never left the starting blocks. Before the 3rd inning ended it was already 6-0 and there was no coming back. Dondero 7 California 0 W: K. Jarvis (1-1) L: J. Borowski (0-2)
Game #4:	The Dondero bats continued to be hot but this time it came late in the game with a 5 spot in the 8th inning. On the other side Johan Santana went 8 scoreless also giving up 4 hits and 2 walks like Jarvis did just the day before. Galarraga hit his 2nd home run of the series and California was able to get 2 across in the 9th to end a scoreless streak of 19 innings. Dondero 9 California 2 W: J. Santana (1-1) L: T. Ohka (0-2)
Game #5:	Game 1 of a doubleheader, Dondero grabbed their 4th win of the series to guarantee an overall victory in the series. Both teams got solid pitching while the bats were slowed down a little bit. Both teams got 2 solo home runs, including the 3rd of the series for J.D. Drew for California and the 2nd of the series for Dondero’s Jose Valentin. Randy Choate and Mariano Rivera were able to hold the lead for Dondero. Dondero 4 California 2 W: P. Wilson (2-0) L: R. Game #6:	The Quakes team name was a match in the 2nd game of the double header as they managed 17 hits. It was an awakening the team has been waiting for in the season. Edgar Alfonso managed the only home run for California but everyone was getting their licks in on the Dondero pitching. J.D. Drew who has continued to be a bright spot all series got himself 3 hits and the team was able to get their 2nd win of the series. Dondero was up 4-3 in the 7th and that is when things really got out of control as California plated 6 and never looked back. California 9 Dondero 6 W: S. Parris (1-1) L: A. Almanza (0-1) S: T. Hoffman 2
Series Summary:	Dondero wins their first ever series in MWWL taking 4 of 6 from California. Next week Dondero travels to Fort Worth as California will host Castle Rock.
