Series Preview:	Winnipeg amd Manhattan are both playing well. Both playing much better at home. Winnipeg traded away McGwire and the pen and ever sense have went from .500 to a wild card position. Gas Hornets holding on to 1st place.
Game #1:	Tom Glavine was amazing throwing a 3 hitter. Seguinal homers as Winnipeg wins 2-0.
Game #2:	Buhner walks it off Gas Hornets made 4 errors and gave up 5 unearned runs as Wakefield knuckler seems to hurt the fielders. Winnipeg 5 Manhattan 4
Game #3:	Two more Gas hornet errors no earned runs off Reed but it was only 2 runs and Manhattan wins 3 -2.
Game #4:	Winnipeg bats scored 10 runs 8 earned as Ventura hit 2 homers one a grand slam and Lofton, Goodwin,and Everett also homered. Winnipeg 10 Manhattan 6
Game #5:	Paul O’Neill has a huge game homing and driving in 3 as Winnipeg wins 9-5.

Series Preview:	56-61 DeWitt travels to 54-63 Portland for a 6 game set.
Game #1:	DeWitt dominates this one in the run category. 15 runs on 16 hits and 9 left on for DeWitt and Portland scores 5 on 13 hits while leaving 14 on! The leadoff hitters for both teams did the most damage. Mike Cameron goes 4/6 with 2 HRs a 2B and 5 RBI to lead the way for the Tigers. Eric Owens goes 3/6 with a HR 2 1Bs and 2 RBIs. Final: DeWitt 15 Portland 5 W: P. Byrd 4-0 L: A. Lopez 6-6
Game #2:	DeWitt came to play on both sides of the ball. A combined 5 hitter shutout with Milton going 7 strong. Terrence Long was the star in this one going 2/4 with 2 HR 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Nothing to note for Portland, it was dreadful. Final: DeWitt 9 Portland 0 W: E. Milton 10-7 L: F. Castillo 4-8
Game #3:	Portland bounces back in another game where pitching wasn’t good. 31 combined hits between the teams. Loaiza only gets through .2 in his start for DeWitt in which he gave up 8 hits and 6 runs (5 earned). Andruw Jones goes 4/5 with a HR, 2B, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored for DeWitt. Todd Zeile goes 4/5 with 2 2B, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored for Portland. Final: Portland 12 DeWitt 7 W: R. Person 7-6 L: E. Loaiza 3-11
Game #4:	For the 4th game in as many in the series DeWitt gets double digit hits to win their 3rd game of the set. Bartolo Colon gives up a 3 run home run in the 1st to Jeff Conine and then went into full shutdown mode. 7 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 6 K. Jay Payton smacks 3 doubles for DeWitt while Sosa and Beltre both homer. Game #5:	First game of the series that felt exciting. Portland squeaks out a win in 10 innings after blowing a 3 run lead in the 7th & 8th. Geoff Blum for Portland had 3 RBI to go with 2 hits (1 2B). Sosa homers again and Andruw Jones joins him in the round tripper category. Eric Owens got it done on an RBI single in the 10th. Oh and DeWitt got at least 10 hits again. Final: Portland 7 DeWitt 6 (10) W: G. White 3-7 L: M. Fetters 3-2
Game #6:	DeWitt continued their ridiculous offensive output with 13 more hits but their only game without a home run. Mike Cameron and Fernando Vina both had 4 hits, Vina just missing the cycle by not going yard. Sosa picked up 3 more RBI. Portland basically just showed up and that it is. Series Summary:	DeWitt comes in and takes 4. They were unstoppable at the plate getting 77 hits in 6 games. Pick your poison for good hitting for DeWitt. Mike Cameron was 10/24 (.417) with 3 HR, 2 2B, 6 RBI, 10 runs scored. Andruw Jones was also 10/24 (.417) with 2 HR, 4 2B, 8 RBI, 8 runs scored. Sammy Sosa was 11/23 (.478) with 2 HR, 1 2B, 9 RBI, 10 runs scored, and 7 walks. Although they lost 2 games, it was domination.

Game #1:	Jays 6 Titans 4 WP A Leiter 9-12 LP Mecedes 9-5 A three-run homer by backup catcher Prince puts the Jays ahead and behind pitching of Leiter and the bullpen they go on for the win. Estallella and Justice homers for the Titans.
Game #2:	Titans 9 Jays 6 WP C Leskanic 2-3 LP K Benson 11-7 A seesaw game with lead changes. Jays score 4 in the 7st to take the lead but Titans regain lead scoring 2 in the 8th. Titans gets homers from Hill, Vidro, Justice and Nixon. Ankiel fans 10 while walking 7.
Game #3:	Titans 14 Jays 9 WP M Gardner 12-3 LP C Finley 4-13 Titans jump all over Jays starter Finley as they lead 14-1 after 7. Jays put scare in Titans as they score 3 in the 8th and 5 in the 9th. Estallela and Burrell homer for the Titans.
Game #4:	Titans 4 Jays 1 WP J D’Amico 9-8 LP C Park 6-13 Titans again get long balls; this time from Hammonds, Hill and Fullmer. Piazza homers for the Jays. Park pitches a complete game in losing effort.
Game #5:	Titans 26 Jays 2 WP G Busch 14-7 LP K Jarvis 3-2 Titans slaughter Jays 26 to 2 and enough said about this game.
Game #6:	Titans 5 Jays 3 WP J MerStarter Mercedes goes 8 innings fanning 6 for the win. Hammonds homers for the Titanscedes 10-5 LP A Leiter 9-13

Castle Rock Hounds @ Southlake Scorpions
Series Preview:	The Rock Hounds in a tough Wild Card battle come in having lost 4 in a row. They will look to get healthy on the Scorpions poor pitching staff. The Scorps showed some life before going on the road last week and just laying down. It appears they are resolved to the basement in the American League.
Game #1:	The Rock Hounds jump out to an early 2-0 lead on a Dye double in the first. He will add a double later in the game finishing with 3 RBIs total. The Scorpions tied the game in the third with some speed on the basepaths and some small ball. Each team then went back and forth taking and giving up the lead. The Scorpions took the lead for good in the and added some insurance in the 8th inning to take game one by a score of 7-4. Petite went 6 innings and was tagged for the loss for the Rock Hounds. Reyes picked up his second win of the year in relief of Stephenson while Paul Shuey notched his 3rd save with 2 solid innings of relief to close the door.
Game #2:	Rock Hounds even the series at a game a piece with a convincing 9-1 win on the road. Gonzalez led the offensive onslaught going 3 for 5 with 4 RBIs. Easley added two hits and 3 RBIs of his own. After getting drilled by Chicago in his last outing Driefort was solid this evening, He went 7 innings yielding only one run, that a solo shot by Bagwell. Bichette’s struggles continue as he has gone 1 for 7 in the series so far. General Manager Stauffer was quoted as saying “Maybe I will put his kid in the lineup next game, Bo Bichette cant do any shitier than his old man at this point in time”
Game #3:	Gonzalez continues to love the cozy confides of Southlake, but not enough as Rock Hounds fall to Scorpions 6-4. Gonzalez is now 8 for 15 with 6RBIs this series against the Scorpion Staff. But Bagwell matched him shot for shot in this game going 3 for 5 with 2 Bombs and 3RBIs. Carpenter started for the Hounds and was able to work out of some jams. He gave up on 2 runs on 9 hits in 6.2 innings. However, the bullpen wouldnt get as lucky. Benitez gave up 4 runs on 4 hits in an inning of work to take the loss. Shuey came out earlier this game as compared to game one, but was just as effective throwing 1.2 innings of 1 hit ball to earn the win. Despite giving up another homer in the 9th Rocker was able to get three outs and earned his first save of the year. Three more games left in the series and it could go any direction. Be sure to tune into WDIV Channel 4 for the Pre-Game with Al Akerman, George Kell and the entire Scorpion broadcast team tomorrow night for a match up between The Gamber Kenny Rogers of Castle and Jimmy “Dont Call me Lester Skick-Um” Haynes.
Game #4:	Game over at giving up an earned run in 4th in Castle Rock Hound victory. Gonzalez continues to love playing in Southlake as he adds to his totals by leading off the 4th with a home run. He is now 10-18 with 3 HRs. But how could the game be over after the lead off homerun. Because with 2 outs in the 4th, the Rock Hounds added 7 more unearned runs before the third out could be found. Manager Stauffer said, “We changed our rotation to get this specific matchup and the guys just didnt come to play.” Haynes was tagged for 16 runs in 9 innings of work, yet only 5 were earned. Stauffer continued, “We put our players in a position to make the routine plays routinely and today we didnt do that.” Bonds added a homerun, going 2-3 to raise his average to .344 on the year. He has been on-base 45 consecutive games now. He is really making the push for MVP. The series now notched at two a piece will continue tomorrow as Holt for the Scorpions faces Scott Elarton. Elarton secured the win against Southlake back in late April but has struggle of late going 1-5 with 1 ND in his last 7 starts. Holt pitched will against Corktown and Fort Worth sandwiched between a stinker against Houghton. PASS TV will broadcast the game with coverage beginning with the pre-game show at 8pm. Game #5:	Gonzalez Demands Trade to Southlake in convincing victory Gonzalez loves playing in Southlake. How do we know? He adds to his week going 4 for 6 with two more bombs. At Southlake he is now 14-24 with 5 HRS this week. The Rock Hounds scored in every inning except the 9th in their 23-7 victory. Bonds also continues to impress going 3-4 with 4 runs scored. Is the MVP already his???? Scorpions will try to split the series tomorrow against the tough Andy Petite who is looking for revenge after getting hit with the loss in game 1 of the series. The scorpions will counter with Reynoso on the bumps.
Game #6:	Defense again collapses against Rock Hounds for Scorpions. Down 2 -0 in the second another Scorpion error led to 3 more runs and a big 5-0 lead for the Rock Hounds. Any chance for a comeback was squelched when Reyes allowed 5 runs in the 7th to put the game out of reach. Andy Petite secured his 12th win of the year. Bonds continues to secure his MVP claim going 2-4 with 3 RBIs, a HR and 2 more runs scored.
Series Summary:	Rock Hounds take 4 out of 6. Gonzalez throws his hat in the ring for Offensive Player of the week going 14/26, 8 runs, 17 RBIs, 4 HRs, .556 Avg and 1.671 OPS.

Houghton Penguins @ Monroeville Maulers
Series Preview:	The Houghton Penguins waddle into Hammer & Steel Stadium with a 45-72 record 4th place of the AL East 19GB of division-leading Corktown. The Monroeville Maulers hope to pound out a series victory as they are in a dogfight for first place in the AL Central with division-leading CHI only 3GB.

Game #3:	HOU 11-9 HOU 11-14-2 / MVM 9-17-1 W- RUPE 4-9 vs L- Scott Schoeneweis 11-9The Penguins smack the ball around once again and this time makes efficient use of the lumber plating 11 runs for their effort. Jason Schmidt in long relief does no better than starter Scott Schoeneweis 3.1IP he couldn’t gain command of his pitchers. Game #4:	MVM 8-2 HOU 2-5-2 / MVM 8-7-0 L- DOTEL 4-11 vs W- FLORIE 2-0The Maulers bounce back from the game 3 loss on the combined pitching arms of Bryce Florie and Todd Jones who hurls 3.2 hitless innings in relief. MVM Todd Hollandsworth is the hitting star for the Maulers 2-4, 2B(12), HR(14) RBI(51). Alfonso Soriano comes through with a clutch 2-Run HR(2), RBI(8) filling in for an exhausted Pokey Reese. Game #5:	MVM 9-1 HOU 1-8-2 / MVM 9-16-0 L- MULHOLLAND 5-14, vs W- CORDOVA 2-1Francisco Cordova fires a complete game scattering 8 hits giving the Mauler bull pen a much needed rest. MVM jumps out early with a 5-0, then adds 4 in the 7th for the icing on the cake. MVM Jacque Jones 2-5 HR(21), RBI(80), Troy Glaus 3-4 2B(21), 2RBI(73), 3 other Mauler sluggers with a multi-hit game quite on the HOU side of the plate.
Game #6:	MVM 7-6 HOU 6-12-1 / MVM 7-13-1 L- WEBER 0-2 vs W- LEIBER 15-8A nail bitter back and forth extra-inning contest as the Maulers manage to come out on top 7-6 with both teams allowing an unearned run contributing to the chaos. The Penguins take a 6-4 lead into the bottom of the 9th but R. Cormier can’t hold back the flood waters as the Maulers plate the 2 runs necessary to tie and add the winner in the bottom of the 10th as Jon Leiber goes the distance for a 10IP CG. MVM Todd Hollandsworth 3-4, 2B(13), HR(15), RBI 2(53), Jason Varitek gains some love going 3-5, 2B(23), HR(7), RBI 2(40). HOU Geoff Jenkins 3-5, HR(26), RBI(81).
Series Summary:	HOU 30/63/7 – MVM 47/78/4 Maulers dominate most of the series 5-1 keeping the heat on the Demolition with a couple of much needed complete game victory efforts by Francisco Cordova and Jon Leiber.
