SUMMARY –  Winnipegs big bats Mark McGwire, Carl Everett, Paul O’Neill and Javy Lopez did better than Frank Thomas, Juan Encarnacion and Roberto Alomar. The huge Alomar/McGwire deal once again pays off for Winnipeg. But with McGwire’s run ending the deal will swing the other way for Santa Rosa.
A three game series was too short for Santa Rosa to show that they were a really good team. Winnipeg has once again shown that they are a clutch in the playoffs.
