1998 OPENING DAY

Mid-West Winter League Opening Day, (The 29th, in Mid-West Winter League History). 

Three new Franchises make their Mid-West Winter League debuts as the MWWL welcomes in, Baltimore, Danbury, & Newark.

Flossmoor is once again the favorite in the ALE, with some solid Wild Card Contenders right below in Corktown & New Hampshire.

Chicago looks to be the favorite, but they will get a little trouble out of Harper Woods & Maybe Detroit.

Castle Rock should win the ALW, but Portland & Fort Worth will give them some trouble along the way. 

A showdown between any of the above-mentioned teams will battle for the American League Championship. 

Manhattan is the clear-cut favorite in a team with two new franchises in the NLE.

Newark should win this Divison, Michigan, Valdosta & Baltimore will beat each other up in the NLC. 

Long Beach, Winnipeg, Blarney Drive & Stockton would keep this Division tight & all of them will battle for the NLW.   

Any one of the aforementioned teams can walk away with the National League Championship. 

It’s going to be a great season in the Mid-West Winter League & it all starts NOW!
