But in the bottom of the fifth the home side gets a two run homer from Jeff Bagwell to take a 5-4 lead. It was all zeroes after that and the Flying Squirrels go up 3-0 in the series. |

Needing a win to avoid elimination the Expos get out to a 1-0 lead on Denny Neagle just three batters into the game. But the Squirrels put up a five spot in the second inning, capped off by a grand slam by Kirby Puckett. The home side adds a couple more insurance runs and Neagle doesn’t allow anything else. Flossmoor wins it and completes the sweep, moving on to the ALCS. |
