The home side jumps out to a 3-0 lead after two innings before the Expos counter with three in the third and one in the top of the fifth. But in the bottom of the fifth the home side gets a two run homer from Jeff Bagwell to take a 5-4 lead. It was all zeroes after that and the Flying Squirrels go up 3-0 in the series. |
| GAME #4 – Jimmy Haynes 4-1 (0.56) vs. Denny Neagle 13-7 (2.80)
Needing a win to avoid elimination the Expos get out to a 1-0 lead on Denny Neagle just three batters into the game. But the Squirrels put up a five spot in the second inning, capped off by a grand slam by Kirby Puckett. The home side adds a couple more insurance runs and Neagle doesn’t allow anything else. Flossmoor wins it and completes the sweep, moving on to the ALCS. |
