| Game #1: | Randy Johnson kinda dominates in a 8+ inning 3 hit shutout effort – the 6 walks were a little alarming. Appier was touched up early and only made it through 5.

| Game #2: | Santa Rosa’s Smoltz allows just 2 runs in 8 innings of work. Caminiti led the attack with 2 double, a homer, and 3 RBI. MacFarlane was lost for 10 days in the contest.

| Game #3: | In a replay of game 1, the Bandits shutout the Bums, this time it was Hampton and 4 relievers combining. Klesko and Whitaker hit back-to-back solo shots to start the home squad off on a good track.

| Game #4: | Santa Rosa hung a tasty 5 spot in the 5th to put this game away. Hanson didn’t quite get the number of the bus that hit him. Bums tally 7 extra base hits on the day although another Bum was injured (Nunnally – 7 days).

| Game #5: | Bandits pound out 10 hits, but could only plate 3, fortunately it was 1 more than they needed. In relief Service and Bottalico nail down the series W with a great 1 hit over 4 inning effort.

| Manhattan Gas Hornets @ Long Beach Titans | |

| Game #1: | Long Beach took a 2-0 lead into the 7th when PH Vanderwal tied it with a 2 run HR. In the 8th he gave the Gas Hornets the lead with a SF. Tino Martinez hit a HR in the to make the final 4-2. The Manhattan bullpen threw 3 2/3 innings of 1 hit ball. |
| Game #2: | Long Beach jumped all over Manhattan starter Dishman, knocking him out in the 4th after he gave up 7 runs. That was all they got as the Titans went on to a 7-4 win. Boggs led the offense with 5 hits. |
| Game #4: | Castillo gave up just 2 hits in 7 1/3 and Long Beach won 1-0. When Castillo got in trouble in the 8th, Mesa came in to shut down the rally and closed out the game. The only run scored on a Meares SF in the 6th. |
| Game #4: | Long Beach scored 2 in the 3rd on a Maldonado 2B & an O’Brien HR. Boggs hit a 2 run HR in the 4th to give the Titans a 4-1 lead. Manhattan got back to back HRs by Anderson & Martinez in the 6th to cut the lead to 4-3. The Long Beach bullpen took over and threw 3 1/3 no hit innings to preserve the 4-3 win. Maldonado had 4 hits and 3 2Bs to lead the offense. |
| Game #4: | For the second game in a row Anderson and Martinez hit back to back HRs as Manhattan jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the 3rd. Long Beach tied the game in the 5th on a Baerga run scoring 2B and a 2 run 1B by Samuel. It stayed 4-4 until the 10th when Baerga singled in O’Brien to give Long Beach a 5-4 win. That was the first run given up by the Gas Hornets bullpen in the series after 12 scoreless innings. |
| Series Summary: | After dropping the first game, Long Beach won the next 4. Boggs had a big series at the top of the Titans order, hitting .682 (15 for 22). |

| Game #1: | In the second inning, the Huskies get 2 runs off of Nagy on a Brian McRae double. Michigan gets 3 of it’s own in the bottom half of the inning. In the top of the 3rd, Hampton ties it on a Tettleton RBI. The games goes back in forth until the 9th when the Huskies score 4 to put the game away.

| Game #2: | Hampton leads 1 game to 0. Mike Morgan throws a wild pitch and Hampton scores in the 4th. Jim Edmonds ties it in the 4th with a homer. This game is bad for the pens as no one can score until the 17th. Michigan has lots of chances. Can’t score off of a grade 1 pitcher. Hernandez hits a homer for Hampton to win it. The Marathon is over. They liked White so much as a 1 that he got upgraded after 4.1 innings from a 1 to a 5???

| Game #3: | No scoring until the 5th when Tim Wallach gave the Hounds a 1-0 lead on a RBI single. Edgar Martinez ties the game for Ft. Worth in the bottom of the 5th with his first RBI of the year. In the bottom of the 7th Gary Sheffield delivered with two outs, “The pitch … it’s corked to left field … on the fly … hey, this may go! … and it does! touch ’em all, SHEFFIELD … a two-run dinger … his 2nd home run of the season … he’s now homered in 2 straight games … and the PANTHERS break the tie and now lead 3-1” In top of the 8th J.T. Snow tied the game with a double and then later scored the go ahead run on a sac fly. In the bottom of the 9th after pinch hitter Thomas Howard singled and stole 2nd base Gary Sheffield singled into left field to tie the game at 4-4. Eric Plunk survived the rest of the 9th and we went to extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th Ft. | Game #4: | Four singles in the first led to two runs for the Panthers and Edgar Martinez three run homer in the 2nd inning made it 5-0 Ft. Worth. Castle Rock scored three times in the third helped by an error by the Panther’s left fielder, “ PANTHERS playing for the double play … the pitch … broken bat fly ball left field MABRY coming on … dives for it … and it bounces off his chest … it rolls away from him two runs will score … MABRY’s up with it … the throw goes to third … CLAYTON slides the throw’s off line! … MARTINEZ dives for it … he can’t get to it … he scrambles CLAYTON breaks for the plate … MARTINEZ’s up with it … the throw … too late another run scores … and BONDS ends up at second … score that a single MABRY picks up the error … and that’s the 2nd error for the PANTHERS So the single drives in three! … and the HOUNDS answer back … but it’s still 5-3 FORT WORTH” The Panthers score single runs in the next two innings, one a solo homer by Wally Joyner and hang on for the victory.

| Game #5: | Jose Lima pitched valiantly for the Panthers striking 9 in 9 innings pitched, but Panther bats went cold as Ben McDonald and two relievers shut out Ft. Worth on 5 hits – all singles. Tim Wallach doubled home one run and Luis Gonzalez tripled home another as Castle Rock avoids the sweep. Former Panther Roberto Kelly went 3 for 4 for the Hounds.
