1994 OPENING DAY

In a much celebrated Opening Day, (The 25th, in Mid-West Winter League History) there was new blood all around the League as four new expansion teams, (Tennessee, Hampton, Wausau & Montreal) joined the league.  Two new divisions were formed with the American & National League Central’s being added.    The season was scheduled for 110 games & everyone is looking ahead to the 1995 Draft where a great new young group of players will be added to the League.  Flossmoor is the favorite in the ALE.  The ALC is a wide open race as no team is stepping up as a real threat.  California is the predicted winner in the ALW.   With a showdown between Floosmor & California predicted for the American League Champions.   Surprisingly Hampton (Expansion Franchise) could hang with Germantown in the NLE.  Sugar Land should capture the flag in the NLC.   Long Beach is the favorite in the NLW, but don’t count out Expansion Franchise Tennessee.

The predictions are in, the first pitch has been thrown, and the 25th, Mid-West Winter League Season is now underway!
