Sugar Land Skeeters @ Manhattan Gas Hornets
Preview	Skeeters bring weak pitching and good hitting to Manhattan to face average pitching and mediocre hitting, should be fun and/or frustrating.
Game #1:	Opening game sees Alou hit a 3 run homer in the 3rd, Gas Hornets counter with 3 in the 4th and then Alou hits an rbi double in the 5th and that’s it, 4-3 Skeeters. Henry goes the whole way – all runs unearned. Winning run in the 5 was the only earned run in the game. SLS 4-8-1 WP Henry (1-1) MGH 3-6-1 LP Stewart (1-1)
Game #2:	Gas Hornets take advantage of a 2 out error in the 1st that loaded the bases for a Yount Grand Slam (1). Then Skeeters get 2 in the 2nd and it’s 4-3 Manhattan but a Tino 2 run shot (2) and 3 other Gas Hornets runs late make it look like a blowout. Daulton (2) and Merced (2) homer for Sugarland. SLS 4- 8-1 LP Alvarez (0-1) MGH 9-11-0 WP Reed (1-0) S Mason (1)
Game #3:	Gas Hornets get win 2 of the series with 3 in the 1st and 1 in the 2nd enroute to 6-1 win. Daulton solo HR (3) in the 6th breaks up the shut out. SLS 1- 5-1 LP Greene (1-1) MGH 6-12-2 WP Pichardo (1-1)
Game #4:	Langston out duels Jones tossing a CG 5 hit shutout. Jones gives up 4 hits in 6 and 1 run – a Bell SF in the 4th. That was all the scoring. Langston made it interesting giving up 7 walks, but Hornets couldn’t take advantage and leave 12 on base. SLS 1-5-0 WP Langston (1-2) MGH 0-5-1 LP Jones (0-1)
Game #5:	Skeeter take control of this game when Witt loses control (7 walks, 6 in the 1st 2 innings when Skeeter plate 5 runs). They were able to make the walk count. SLS 5-4-0 WP Tapani (1-1) S Andersen (2) MGH 3-8-1 LP Witt (0-2)
Game #6:	Stewart back out for game 6 again facing Henry – and again the Skeeters draw first blood getting 2 in the 4 – the 2nd run unearned. Manhattan finally plates a run in the 7th, but that’s all they can get as Henry tosses a 3 hitter. Stewart also gives up 3 hits in 6 innings and loses another to an unearned run. Game #7:	Gas Hornets end their frustrations in a 6 run 2nd inning with included a 3 run Santiago homer (2). All runs earned. Gas Hornets pitchers don’t give up any unearned run – or any runs for that matter as Reed and Mason combine for a 7 hit shutout. SLS 0-7-0 LP Alvarez (0-2) MGH 6-6-0 WP Reed (2-0) S Mason (2)
Summary	Sugar Land’s hitting takes 4 of the 7 games – but actually their weak pitching overpowers the mediocre hitting of the Gas Hornets. But fun series.

Germantown Grays @ Steel City Sluggers
Summary	Steel City splits the first 4 games with Germantown, but then drops the final 3 to lose the series 2-5.

Stockton Wings @ Chicago Demolition
Preview	Chicago headed nowhere & Stockton on the rise for a series in the Windy City.
Game #1:	Scott Erickson (2-0 1.93) is stellar allowing only 1 Earned Run. Robby Thompson with 22 RBI’s for Stockton. Final Score: Stockton 4 – Chicago 2
Game #2:	Pedro Astacio (2-0 1.76) goes 8 Innings allowing only 2 Earned. Chicago keeps it close, but it still goes Stockton’s way. Final Score: Stockton 3 – Chicago 2
Game #3:	Corey Snyder is 4 for 5 with 3 Runs Scored. Chris Davis has a Home Run & 5 RBI’s. Marquis Grissom & Bill Pecota both have 3 Hits. Bobby Ojeda goes 6 allowing only 1 Earned Run. Final Score: Stockton 12 – Chicago 2
Game #4:	Brian Barnes (2-0 1.59) goes 8 Innings & Todd Burns Saves (#1) it for Chicago. Final Score: Chicago 5 – Stockton 4
Game #5:	Orel Hershiser (1-2 4.13) gets the win, John Doherty (#1) with the Save. Junior Felix chips in 3 Hits & Gary Carter has 2 RBI’s. Final Score: Chicago 5 – Stockton 3
Game #6:	Scott Erickson (3-0 1.17) goes the distance, Larry Walker Homers & has 3 RBI’s. Final Score: Stockton 3 – Chicago 0
Game #7:	Stockton scores 1 in the first, Chicago gets 1 in the 4th. Then 10+ Innings of scoreless baseball. It takes 15 Innings to play, with Chicago scoring in the bottom of the 15th to win it.
Summary	Chicago loses 4 of 7, but it felt like they only won one.

Missouri Black Bears @ Long Beach Titans
Preview	Missouri heads west to take on Long Beach.
Game #1:	After Justice doubled in 2 runs to give Long Beach a 2-1 lead in the 6th, Van Slyke hit a SF scoring Bonds and tying the game in the 8th. Fletcher singled in a run in the top of the 9th to give the Black Bears a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the inning Long Beach had runners on 1st and 3rd but Rogers got Girardi to fly out to right ending the 3-2 Missouri win.
Game #2:	This game was back and forth and looked like it would be a high scoring game when Long Beach took a 4-3 lead in the 4th on a Vaughn HR. But that was the end of the scoring. Tomlin pitched 6 innings and the Titans bullpen threw 3 shutout innings to close out the 4-3 win.
Game #3:	Powered by a 6 run 3rd and a Justice 3 run bomb in the 6th, Long Beach rolled to a 10-4 win. The top of the Titans lineup was 7-15 and scored 6 runs to key the offense.
Game #4:	Justice hit another 3 run HR. This time in the 1st to give Long Beach a 4-0 lead. Guzman took over from there throwing a complete game 1 hitter in the Titans 4-0 win.
Game #5:	Going into the bottom of the 9th Missouri led 2-1 after a Van Slyke run scoring 1B in the 6th. Long Beach tied it when Reimer doubled in Howard who was running for Fielder. The Black Bears took the lead back in the 10th when Bonds scored on a Fletcher ground out. Wetteland retired the Titans to close out the 3-2 win.
Summary	Long Beach takes 3 of 5 from Missouri.

Michigan Marauders @ Valdosta Bombers
Preview	Michigan visits Valdosta.
Summary	Michigan wins 6 of 7 in Valdosta as the Bombers could find zero offense.

Mexico City Chihuahuas @ California Quakes
Summary	Mexico City takes 3 of 5 from California, while California outscores Mexico City 22-18.

Blarney Drive Bandits @ Winnipeg Goldeyes
Preview	Winnipeg hosted the Blarney Drive Bandits. The Bandits have a powerful hitting attack but seem a little short on pitching for 1992. The young arms however look awesome for the future. The 1991 champs are a solid team who have any major issues and while they may not be the class of the league they are hoping to return as a wild card once again.
Game #1:	Winnipeg looked like they would win leading 3-2 in the 9th but as in the first series their super strong pen on paper blew it. Rojas the 21 and Howell gave up 4 runs to blow the save and lose the game. The big blow was a pinch hit 2 run double by Tony Pena. Blarney 6 Winnipeg 3 W-Myers (2-0) S-Smith(2) L-Howell(1-1)
Game #2:	Like game 1 the Winnipeg pen took the loss in the 9th as Willis gave up a pinch hit double to Clark. Blarney 5 Winnipeg 4 W-Myers(3-0) S-Murphy(1) L-Willis(0-1)
Game #3:	Ex Winnipeger Hanson did not have it as he allowed 6 runs in 2+ innings. Ventura drove in 3 and this time Beck got the save. Winnipeg 6 Blarney4 W-Jackson(1-0) S-Beck(3) L-Hanson(0-2)
Game #4:	Schilling is great 1 run in 7 innings and this time Rojas finally saves his first game of the year. Buhner drove in 3 runs for Winnipeg. Winnipeg 7 Blarney 1 W-Schilling(2-0) S-Rojas(1) L-Blyleven (1-1)
Game #5:	Devereaux plays walkoff hero as Winnipeg wins 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th, W-Howell(2-1) L-Stottlemyre(0-2)
Game #6:	All Winnipeg in the 8-0 win. The Big unit did not have it allowing 7 runs in under 4 innings, W-Candiotti (1-0) S-Kile(1) L- Johnson(0-2) Deveraux homered in the win.
Game #7:	David Wells fell apart in the 5th allow a 7 run inning. Devereaux hit another 3 run homer. Winnnipeg 9 Blarney 2 W-Benes(2-0) L-Wells(1-1)
Summary	So after dropping the first 2 games Winnipeg came back and won the next 5 games. Bip Roberts went 12 for 25 in the series with 7 runs scored. Mike Deveraux drove in 8 runs for the Goldeyes.

Portland Mavericks@ Janesville Juggernauts
Game #1:	Portland wins it 2-1
Game #2:	Another close game as the Mavericks take it 7-6.
Game #3:	Juggernauts get on the win column taking game three 7-2.
Game #4:	Another close game, Janesville comes out on top 2-0.
Game #5:	An extra inning affair, the Juggernauts win it in the bottom of the 10th 6-5.
Game #6:	Yet another pitchers duel, the Mavericks tie the series up 3-3 with a 1-0 win.
Game #7:	Janesville wins the rubber match, 3-1.
Summary:	A close series with all but one game decided by 2 runs or less.

Detroit Stars @ Flossmoor Flying Squirrels
Preview	Flossmoor opens their home season after a brutal first series on the road.
Game #1:	Stars strike early against Maddux. With two outs and nobody on Kruk draws a walk and scores on Mo Vaughn‘s double. George Bell ties it with a solo shot to lead off the third. Still 1-1 to the bottom of the 6th when Bagwell draws a leadoff walk and Puckett follows with a two run shot. A two out double by Sierra chases Nabholz but Parrett strands him there. 3-1 after six. Stars get one back in the 8th off Charlton as Kruk scores on a fielders choice. Detroit gets two on in the 9th but Honeycutt gets Butler to ground out to end it. Flying Squirrels win their home opener 3-2. Maddux gets the win, Nabholz takes the loss.
Game #2:	Injury in the top of the first as Eisenreich takes one in the head and is out for six days. Two walks with two outs in the second get Cone into trouble and Kruk makes him pay with a seeing eye single that scores a pair. 2-0 Detroit More trouble in the third as Valle goes yard with a man aboard to make it 4-0. Flossmoor gets those two back in the bottom of the inning as Sierra blasts one to score Morandini. 4-2 after three. Harold Baines leads off the 5th with a homer for Flossmoor to cut the Stars lead to one. Stars answer with one in the 6th thanks to another walk and an error for Flossmoor. 5-3 after six innings. Stars open it up in the 7th off Thigpen. More walks and some timely hitting plate three and its 8-3. That would be the final as Detroit rebounds to take the second. Nine walks doom the Squirrels.
Game #3:	Scoreless to the sixth when the Stars are able to scrape a pair across thanks to a passed ball. Meanwhile Pete Shourek tossed 8 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits. Leach comes in to close it out but Baines draws a pinch hit walk and is then lifted for Felder. Sharperson and Gant make force outs before Bagwell doubles home Gant and Puckett follows with an RBI single to tie it but is thrown out at second to end the inning. Headed to extras tied at two. Squirrels killer Dave Valle leads off the 11th with a solo shot off Gregg Olson and that is your winner.
Game #4:	Stars off to the early 2-0 lead again in the top of the first. Felder then leads off the bottom of the inning with a triple and scores on Gant’s sac fly. Fryman follows up with a two out single to tie it at two after one. Stars take the lead in the 5th on a Kruk sac fly scoring Butler. Morandini leads off the 7th with a double and is nearly left there but Ron Gant comes thru with a two out double to score Mickey and tie the game. Stars take the lead back as Puckett and Felder collide in the outfield, knocking Kirby out of the game. In the 9th the tying run is thrown out at second to end the game by who else but Dave Valle. Stars win 3-2
Game #5:	Stars, once again, score in the first, this time thanks to another Squirrel error. The score another in the 3rd and three more in the 4th off Hibbard who is then chased in the 5th for being thoroughly terrible. Mesa comes in and throws gas on the fire and its 7-0 Detroit. Squirrels score a run finally on Frymans solo shot. The rest of the game is a dumpster fire for Flossmoor, who is spiraling out of control early in the year.
Game #6:	Squirrels scratch one across in the 4th after Nabholz strikes out 7 of the first 9 hitters. Bell adds a solo shot in the 8th to make it 2-0. Maddux tossing a one hit gem, until Kent goes deep with a man on and one out in the 9th to tie the game. Nothing going right in Flossmoor. But in the bottom of the 9th the Squirrels load the bases for Sierra, who rips a single to win it. 3-2 FFS
Game #7:	Downing homer and F’n Dave Valle with a two out hit make it 2-0 Stars in the 2nd. Cone then walks two straight hitters to force in a run before getting a lucky double play to get out of it. 3-0 Vaughn adds a two run homer to make it 5-0 Its 6-0 in the 8th before Flossmoor gets their first hit on a Dean Palmer single with one out. Morandini triples home a pair and Felder singles to make it 6-3. Leach comes in to lock it down for Detroit.
Summary	Detroit takes five of seven and Flossmoor is a disaster. An offense that on paper should be quite potent, cannot score and their big three of Maddux, Cone and Key have struggled. Things are unraveling quickly for a team that had the highest of hopes.

Fort Worth Panthers @ Corktown Bootleggers
Preview	Fort Worth comes to Corktown after starting the season with a sweep of American League foe Flossmoor.
Game #1:	Cook goes the distance in a 4 hit shut out for the Bootleggers. Handing the Panthers their 1st loss of the season.Corktown 4-0 W. Cook 1-1 L. Tewksbury 1-1
Game #2:	Corktown scores on a walk off in the 10th in this very tight battle that could have went either way.Corktown 4-3 W. Hernandez 2-0 L. Austin 0-1
Game #3:	Lance Parish drives in one early for the Panthers but the Bootleggers came back with 4 unanswered and the victory.Corktown 4-1 W.Olivares 1-1 L. Abbott 1-1 S.Hernandez (3)
Game #4:	Wegman and Fort Worth get their first W of the series and it was a gem. This game was tied at 1 going into the 9th where the Panthers opened it up once Corktown went to the pen. 5 Hits and a solo shot fort Duncan was all Wegman gave up while going the distance.Fort Worth 5-1 W.Wegman 2-0 L. Frohwirth 0-1
Game #5:	The late game hitting from game 4 carried over for the Panthers in game 5. Dave Winfield had two doubles and 3 RBI as Fort Worth cruises. Fort Worth 9-1 W.Smith 2-0 L.Downs 1-1
Game #6:	The floodgates have opened and the Panthers are now rolling. Edgar Martinez went deep twice and ended with 4 RBI. Fort Worth 9-4 W. Tewksbury 2-1 L. Cook 1-2
Game #7:	The momentum continued for Fort Worth as the win the series 4-3. 2 runs in the 1st and another in the 2nd. Brown went 8 giving up one run. Fort Worth 6-1 W.Brown 2-1 L. Gooden 1-1
Summary:	It was a tail of two halfs in this series. Corktown won the first three games and Fort Worth woke up and took the next 4. Fort Worth takes on Stockton in a very big April series, if there is such a thing. Corktown hosts Cali as they have their 3rd straight series at home to begin 1992.
