1991 MWWL AWARDS

Portland’s Will Clark took home the Most Valuable Player in the American League. Frank Thomas of Germantown was the National League’s Most Valuable Player.

California’s Nolan Ryan won the American League Cy Young & Sugar Land’s Mark Langston won the Cy Young in the National League.

Flossmoor’s Jeff Bagwell won the American League Rookie of the Year (Bagwell also got plunked a MWWL Single Season High 27 times, so he’s not making many friends on the diamond) & Juan Guzman of Long Beach won the National League Rookie of the Year.

Fort Worth’s Mike Jackson won the American League Rolaids Reliever of the Year & Todd Frohwirth of Germantown won the National League Rolaids Reliever of the Year Award.

California’s Manager George Skiles took home the Manager of the Year Award in the American League & John Anderson of Sugar Land took the honors in the National League.
