Stanton the 19 for Winnipeg has a 6+ era and has blown 3 of the 4 chances hes had to close, hit took the loss in extra innings giving up 2 in the 11th on errors. Steel City lives up to their name, stealing the first three games in either the 9th or 10th innings with inspirational comebacks. The rallies come up short though in the next two games, and the teams split the final two as the Sluggers take the series 4-3.Contenders may regret letting Nick Esasky slip to the 38th pick of the draft — and we are not complaining. Esasky now sports a ridiculous .341/.362/.878 line, with 7 HR in 43 plate appearances over 12 games.

The Bears lifted him in the 6th inning after he gave up 7 walks and 7 hits. Gubicza also left in the 6th after giving up 13 hits and 1-BB. George Bell was called on to Catch with both Star’s backstops injured. It cost the Stars in the 2d inning when with 2-out Milligan struck out, but Bell allowed a passed ball and Milligan reached, Puckett went to 3d.
