Bears go to their bench and Mackey Sasser doubled, walked, drove in one and scored twice to lead CP to a come from behind win. Tigers led 2-0 into the 8th. RP Chuck Crim won it (1-3, 1.51), Leiper BS, (2-2, 1.91). |

Another solid outing for Mike Moore CG (9-6, 2.28), LaPoint (5-4, 3.56) still unable to defeat the Bears this year. Puckett (12) and Clark (8) HR for CP. |

Joe Carter (15) and Raffy Ramirez (8) HR, Carter 3-RBIs Ramirez 4. Pete O’Brien 4 for 5 as Traverse City get 16 hits. Greg Maddux (8-6, 3.41) pitches 6 for the win. John Dopson (8-5, 3.29) has a bad outing and leaves in the 2d inning. The bullpen falters as well. |

Bobby Witt (7-4, 3.39) goes 6, Al Pena (sv-11) finishes up as the Bears get 2 in the 1st and 2 in the 8th. Bob Knepper (8-3, 2.58) takes a tough loss. |

Candelaria (8-5, 3.09) out pitches Swindell (11-5, 3.10) with BP help from Leiper and Jones (Sv-22). Joe Carter doubled and drove in 3 runs. |
| Game #7: | Bears hoping to gain more ground on the AL West leaders start out well with 3 runs in the 1st, but Mike Boddicker falls apart in the 4th, and Honeycutt also falters and the Tigers gain a 5-4 advantage after 6 innings, Ray drives in 2 runs. In the 8th, the Bears go to their bench again and Randy Milligan single home PR Rex Hudler with the tying run, but despite getting the winning run OB, the Bears could not get it home. In the 10th for the Tigers, they also go to their bench, Fermin PH for Barfield reaches on a single, Mookie Wilson enters as a PR. Tim Rainers gave the Tigers the lead with a single to score Wilson. Agosto (6-4, 2.66) finished to pick up the win. Cerutti (3-4, 2.60) took the loss. Final: Tigers 6 Bears 5 |

Reports have it that he will continue to seek out ways to topple the Gas Hornets for years to come unless somehow he’s reunited with the team. He still loses sleep thinking of the dunderhead owner of the Gas Hornets who couldn’t play him enough last year to keep him!! |
