A career that spans decades, marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for the game that transcends generations. The statistics alone paint a portrait of dominance and sheer brilliance on the mound: 300 wins and 251 losses, a testament to his resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

His career ERA of 3.34 and a WHIP of 1.28 are benchmarks of consistency and control, demonstrating his ability to outmaneuver and outclass opponents with precision and skill. Well, howdy, y’all!

I gotta say, standin’ here in front of all you fine folks today is truly an honor beyond words. To be inducted into the Mid-West Winter League Hall of Fame is somethin’ that fills my heart with pride and gratitude. It’s been one heck of a journey, and I’m mighty grateful for every single minute I spent playin’ this beautiful game.

From my early days slingin’ that ball for Motown back in 1970 to my time with Sandusky County in ’71 and ’72, I’ve had the pleasure of wearin’ different uniforms, representin’ different teams, and makin’ memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Palm City in ’73 and my lengthy stint with Long Beach from ’74 to ’84 – those years, they were filled with sweat, determination, and the joy of playin’ the game I love. Western Mass and Washington, they welcomed me with open arms, and I did my darndest to leave my mark there in ’84, ’85, and ’86.

Nolan_Ryan-HOF95-3California, Steel City, Missouri, Flossmoor – each stop along the way meant somethin’ special. Those years, they were filled with triumphs, challenges, and bonds forged with teammates that’ll never be forgotten.

Now, I ain’t one to brag about numbers, but golly, it sure feels good to look back and see what we accomplished together. 300 wins and 251 losses, 4531 Strikeouts – a testament to grit, perseverance, and the support of my incredible teammates and coaches, along with a pretty good chicken wing of a right arm.

Five times an All-Star, two Cy Young Awards – those accolades, they ain’t just mine. They belong to every single person who stood beside me on that field, pushin’ me to be the best I could be.

But let me tell ya, this honor here today, it ain’t just about me. It’s about the fans, the coaches, the staff, and every person who ever believed in me and this beautiful game. It’s about the joy of playin’ baseball, the camaraderie of the team, and the memories we made together.

So, from the bottom of my heart, I wanna thank each and every one of ya for sharin’ this moment with me. I’m humbled and grateful to be standin’ here as part of the Mid-West Winter League Hall of Fame. It’s been one heck of a ride, and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it for the world.

Thank you, folks. God bless, and God bless Texas!
