INAUGURAL PLAYERS ELECTION VOTE

The following candidates are eligible for the inaugural MWWL Players Election Vote. Please vote for a maximum of 5 players.

2.1.1    All current MWWL owners may vote, regardless of their tenure.
2.1.2    Owners may vote for no more than 5 players in this inaugural Hall of Fame voting.
2.1.3    There is no limit to how many players are voted into the MWWL HoF.
2.1.4    Players must still receive 75+% of the votes to make the MWWL HoF.
2.1.5    Any player not receiving at least 30% of the votes in the initial voting will be removed from future HoF consideration.
2.1.6    Any owner meeting the HoF Exhibit criteria will receive their initial exhibit(s) and will re-set their Exhibit point total (see 1.6) following the season
2.1.7    Veteran Committee point totals will also reset, however the Waiting List Provision (see 2.2.2.3) will apply.
2.1.8    A player being considered during the initial year and the initial year only, must meet at least 1 of the following criteria:

200 = Home Runs
750 = RBIs OR Runs Scored OR Hits
.295 = Career Batting Average spanning at least 5 seasons
375 = Career Stolen Bases
125 = Wins
125 = Saves
35 = Shut-Outs
<3.00 = Career ERA spanning at least 5 seasons PLUS 600 innings as a Starting Pitcher
<3.00 = Career ERA spanning at least 5 seasons PLUS 350 innings as a Relief Pitcher
2.1.9    If not specified in the Initial Year Voting Provision, standard HoF voting rules will apply.
2.2    Induction to the MHOF may occur through Voted Induction or Veteran’s Committee Induction.
2.2.1    Voted Induction – Any owner who does not have at least 1 year of prior MWWL experience is prohibited from voting – previous owners returning from a hiatus are eligible to vote, as long as they have at least 1 year of prior MWWL experience.  (Inaugural year – all active owners can vote)
2.2.1.1    MHOF voting will commence each year, on or around May 1st in the League Manager calendar.
2.2.1.2    Each MWWL Franchise receives one ballot, and may vote for a maximum of 10 players.
2.2.1.3    In order to be elected, a player must receive votes equal to 75+% of the total number of eligible voters.
2.2.1.4    No more than 5 players may be elected in a given year.  If more than 5 players receive votes from 75+% of the eligible voter, the top 5 in vote totals will be elected.  If multiple players receive votes from 75+% of the eligible voters and receive enough votes to tie them among the top 5 in vote totals, then all such players will be elected to the Hall of Fame in exception to the stated maximum of five players.
2.2.1.5    Any player receiving two consecutive years without a card due to retirement and/or injury is eligible for the MHOF Ballot.
2.2.1.6    The MHOF Committee maintains the MHOF Ballot.
2.2.1.7     Any player receiving no votes in their first year of eligibility will be removed from the General Ballot and will be in-eligible for Veterans Committee consideration. Any player on the General Ballot receiving no votes in any subsequent year of eligibility will be removed from the General Ballot and will be eligible for Veterans Committee consideration.
2.2.1.8    A player will be removed from the General Ballot after 3 years, unless he received votes equal to at least 30% of the number of eligible voters in the most recent election. Upon removal from the General Ballot, the player will be eligible for Veterans Committee consideration.
2.2.1.9    All players will be removed from the General Ballot after 5 MWWL seasons. Upon removal from the General Ballot, the player will be eligible for Veterans Committee consideration.

2.2.2    The Veterans Committee
2.2.2.1    The Veterans Committee is composed of 7 MWWL owners.
2.2.2.2    The Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner permanently comprise 2 of the 7 Veteran Committee owners.
2.2.2.3    An owner is placed on the Veterans Committee Waiting List when they receive 404 MHOF Points.
2.2.2.3.1    Each May 1st on the League Manager schedule, the 5 owners on the Waiting List with the longest tenure are placed on the Veterans Committee. Priority on the Waiting List is determined by tenure, then by most MHOF Points when listed.
2.2.2.4    The MHOF Committee will administer the Veterans Committee and Waiting List.
2.2.2.5    An owner will serve on the Veterans Committee for a minimum of 1 MWWL season, however may remain on the Veterans Committee for an additional season if there is no replacement on the Waiting List.
2.2.2.6    An above majority vote is required for a HOF Manager election – 4 votes.
2.2.2.7    No owner serving on the Veterans Committee may vote for his own induction to the MHOF.
2.2.2.8    Owners are removed from the Veterans Committee based on tenure (longest tenure is removed first). At any point tenure cannot be the deciding factor, the Owner with the fewest MHOF Points, when appointed, will be viewed with most tenure.
2.2.2.9    The Veterans Committee will convene between the end of the MWWL World Series and May 1st on the League Manager calendar each season.
2.2.2.10    The Veterans Committee may select any player no longer eligible for Voted Induction.
2.2.2.11    The Veterans Committee may select an MWWL owner with a minimum of 7+ years of MWWL service to the MHOF.
2.3    MHOF Inductee Hats – Any Franchise may request that a player inducted to the MHOF wear their Franchise Baseball Hat.  If more than one Franchise requests their hat be worn by the same player, the Veterans Committee will make the final determination.
